He swapped his battery after 14 to 18 hours? So, he swapped it to go to sleep or when he got home? I doubt he ever swapped batteries. I think the non-removable isn't a big issue specially if you can get 16hrs out of it. Other competitors don't even last half a day. These are some great tips though.

i came from a note 4 too...and with the note 4 i didn't turn anything off because i carried a spare battery with me all the time so i would just let it do whatever it wanted in the background because i could just swap it out. now with the s6e, i'm significantly more vigilant about which apps are doing what...even with a portable battery charger just in case. thanks for the tips :)

Why was the android authority intro in slow motion? And why is this specific to the S6 Edge? Surely some tips apply to all non removable battery phones.

under privacy setting go to advance and select google play service, turn off location

I hate it when people suggest dimming the screen for better battery life. You spent a small fortune on a smart phone with a beautiful screen only to dim it so much that everything looks dark and murky. You might as well go back to using a monochromatic screen.

I disagree with GPS tip. It will save way more if you do the opposite - chose WiFi and cellular without using GPS for the location detection. That will work only if you disable using WiFi to detect location while WiFi is off. That way the phone will use cellular connectivity you have always on to determine your location without using GPS or WiFi. This way you will use everything at maximum efficiency.

The video itself wasn't so bad but I'm in disagreement with the actual content. These supposed Google and Android problems don't affect all phones but are enhanced on the s6 due to Samsung doing a bad job at the lollipop port. Let's put the majority of the blame with Samsung instead of making Google a scapegoat. I'm not denying the problems with lollipop, but it's exceptionally worse on the s6 so let's call it how it is.

WARNING: Be warned that the fast charge feature is burning up accelerometers in the S6E, causing the screen to no longer rotate. I had my first S6E for two weeks without using the fast charger, and the first time I did, it was toast. I got online and noticed tons of similar complaints. If this happens, it will require you to swap out your phone for a new one since it's a hardware issue. Hopefully Samsung will push out an update and I can return to fast charging, but until then, I would highly recommend staying away from this feature by using a standard charger.

Tip number 1. Don't buy an S6. Every tip after that says "Refer to tip 1."

Turn off mobile data. Download data off on widget. Whenever you need internet just turned it on whenever you're not using it just turn it off simple as that

It's a pretty informative video, but I'm not a fan of your format. You went into wayyy too much detail on each subject, around 75% of the video where the camera is on you could be gone. Also, if you're going to keep the format, going from B-roll, to A-roll, and back (which you shouldn't), pleeease get a lav, the jump in audio quality is pretty annoying. But otherwise, I see how this video could help a decent amount of people who have been having trouble with their phone, but it's way too bloated (kinda like Samsung phones) themselves.

too many people will be put off by the horrible battery life, no matter what hack you going to do.... the good thing is it has "elegant design" and that reason cant make the s6/edge last a day.... what a pity... at le3ast you can use it mostly half of the day... LOL

I gave S6 beauty a 1 week test drive going to stick with S5. S5 provides Strong build quality , long battery life , Removable Battery , SD Card & the very important ip67 rating. GS6 on the other hand provides none of the above. Yes its a pretty device but really , You end up putting protective case on & beauty is no more. Its display res & chip power is over rated , there's no major OS performance increase found side by side with S5 in real world use. Yes S6 camera is win but is it really worth loosing everything S5 provides? I think not. Anyway now to my tips & tricks Tip - Skip S6 save 900.00. Trick - Install S6 wallpaper gallery on your S5 then put case on device & All your friends etc will think you own S6 lol

I have samsung s6 ( not edge) facing battery drain problem. while sleeping with wifi on but without receiving any calls and without turning screen on, battery drops by 30 % in 6 hours. is it normal with s6 or my handset is having some problem? please others also mention thr experience about standby and usage time.
