Does anyone know how to fix this and what causes this kind of screen issue with S8

Same issue here. Try to light up the brightness. Thats the way we can do. But sometimes get dim the display or like a autobluelight.

i found that setting the screen mode to basic and increasing the brightness to full will get it back to normal but its still a bit different and will drain battery

You can also lower the brightness to its minimum and it works fine :))

I have a similar but opposite, if i have my screen brightness any higher than like 10% the screen turns bright green and basically unusable

GUYS! I JUST GOT THE SAME PROBLEM TODAY ON MY S8+ BUT IT SOLVED BY JUST TURNING OFF THE EDGE LIGHTING! I TOGGLE OFF AND ON AND NOW ITS SOLVED!

Thanks! Turning off edge lighting helped but didn't completely fix the issue for me. Responsiveness of touchscreen still lags in mid-range brightness. Might be OLED burn-in problem which apparently has no fix.

I try always on display method and it worked for a week and then all green lines are back try with your before press power key on always on dispaly and after unlock in some device it worked

I've been using my Samsung Galaxy S8 since February 2021 with no issues until almost 2 weeks ago. I use the blue light filter at night and reduce my screen brightness. At 7:30am that day, I turned off the blue light filter and immediately increased the brightness to medium, boom my screen turned green with lines. I noticed when I set it to 80% brightness or the lowest brightness, it becomes normal but with the blue light effect but when it's at medium it goes green with the lines. I put my phone under the sun for about 10 mins that day and the screen went back to normal until today when the same issue reoccured. How do I solve this issue?

I did not fix it completely, but it was much better. I turned off thermistor on my g950f and its work. Thermistor on wireless charger. I don’t know how it work, but terrible green stripes in full range of brightness have disappeared. Contrast problem remained, but not critical. I suppose, if you use an optocoupler on contact of thermistor and take 5 volts with usb it will work. Maybe this information help someone.

Wow... I got this problem yesterday Battery drained for 0 and used my laptop to charge the phone.. and i just switched it on.... based on your reply here I suspect this occurs with unregulated voltage ..please give me an update.. can it be @Gali_Flores

I have a s8 with that problem white and green lines. Very big vlack dot. And a dent in the screen but still works lol i dropped id yesterday and the lines dissapeared so now its kind of useable

Still working fine. But only selected settings for brightness only but works perfectly fine.

set it to the settings where its on normal display and just install screen filter for making brightness adjustment, thats what i did to mine becauase its really expensive to replace the display and its not worth it, no longer buy samsung phones. it happens as well with other samsung models.

Actually the purpose i posted it is to ask help f anyone has a solution to that .so far for now what i did was i only installed screen filter so that i can change the brightness without having that screen problem.

i have the same problem.Im removed the wifi charging and the display working normaly but cant be charged.Have a error temperature its to low.Finaly i buy a new wifi charging connection and the phone working normaly.

Its a known issue with samsung phones..with s8 as well.. its needs replacement with the display when i checked with samsung and its xpensive..not worth it replacing m afraid.

Here in Brazil we are suffering the same problem. There are some news from websites specialized in technology reporting that the failure was caused by the update to Android 10. Devices are all burning the screen and Samsung doesn`t want to repair them.

It looks like it.. i have it set up on permanent setting of brightness to be able to use it and i just downloaded an screen filter app to atleast help me change the brightness without having a problem seeing everything on the display.

That's the issue with Samsung phones.. the only remedy is put it on a display setting where it looks normal and use a screen filter to control the brightness.. hope this helps.. replacing the screen is xpensive
