As promised here is a video of us attempting to separate a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus by freezing in our freezer. The AMOLED display on these newer models is a lot thinner than previous models causing the displays to curl under extreme temp drop. Due to the success rate being very low with this method we stay away from freezing the latest models.

And me. I have success with S7S7EDGE, S8 and S8 plus but not a single S9. I can now buy full lcd screens off Ali Express cheap as chips. I wish I had not bought a freezer....... I guess you live and learn.

gr8 video for learning it was really gr8 for the repairing community...... just got a suggetion istead of tape if u would have kept that rubber mold on top of it it may not bend while glass seperation....ur more more experianced than me it just came in my mind so thought to tell u..

Right! Everyone is so hung up that freezing is easier and faster. In reality with proper skill repair will take about same amount of time.

you said when display starts curving the flex got damaged .. just thinking what if you release the flex cable? or put black rubber on top of the display to hold it down.. maybe

Yes we are going to try leaving weight on and make sure temp. Is proper. We had a lot of drop in temp since they were replacing front door. So will attempt again

Brother how much temperature you use on this time. Your temperature seems _ 150. I m right.? Your information is usefully. Keep it running. Our poor countries Mecanic are face confusion. Grat work, i was looking to buy freezer machine for s10 s20 , iphone x 11 etc, can it be safe to use with this models , or is it just good for samsung s8 s8 plus , in that case machine is not worth buying. thanks

Noticing that after the frame removal of the AMOLED it stays functioning I was hoping you would gently place the rubber mat(with cut out for flex)on top besides using the tape but please try again.

Hey, I'm a fan from Scotland, great work you guys are doing! Someone told me you can't use cutting wire with curved screen's like s8 and s9. Is this wrong? Can any phone be done manually?

We are using -185. We use screens that are pulled from customers phones.

Hey buddy. I am using a freezer method for about 2 years but i have not faced any problem like that. Btw love your videos ❤️❤️🤩 Edit: first of all you need to seperate the glass and then seperate the lcd from frame. It should be fine.

I did that job with a heater seprater and that was very tough. But i thought with a freezer it would be easy. But after watching this i m not going. Go buy a freezer any time soon 😁

tape top middle and bottom will stop the display from bending when the oca splits.

I got a s8+.I accidentally dropped it and have a small crack however there is a small black dot beneath the crack I am guessing it damaged the lcd.Can I just do a glass replacement and continue living with the small black dot rather than buying a new lcd.Thanks

Yes we can replace glass only. Black spots are minimal and usually can live with them

Did you try to just remove the glass from the LED? When I tried it the glass was taking off together with the digitizer.

Yes I tried. Its to risky not worth trying. We can remove the amoled and glass from frame but when try to remove glass. Display splits

Yeah your plastic tool is quite thick. 0.1mm spudgers help. You don't want to leave frame-less glass on the freezer without your hand holding it to ensure it doesn't flex, you'd wreck the fuck out of the touchscreen otherwise

You need IPA for the deframing step. You also need to keep it pressed without the frame so it doesn't thermal flex.

See friend thats the big challenge, in you recently trip to china or shenzen, you should meet the real lcd repais technicians, exist a trick to separated this model's s9 series with the frezeer machine is just nobody is going to let you know this trick, i know the trick and thats why i dont do videos on youtube, this trick also workd on the s10, s10 plus, ..the other method is doing manually cutting the glass, but the process is more longer

Yes you are right there are some technicians that can remove using freezer. It does not take that much longer to remove manually. We can remove manually and clean in about 15-20 min. Your more than welcome to share! Lol

im giving away "the secret" that nobody wants to share you periodically spray isopropyl alcohol with a bottle(like the glue remover solvent bottle you have) which will reduce the temperature of the glass even further and make it easier to remove
