Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite - We need more tabs THIS size!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a bit of an odd device. There are no shortage of budget Android Tabs out there, but this one is special in that it's only 8.7 inches, compared to all the other chonky boiz out there.
While I always want to move to bigger screen sizes where possible, sometimes being able to handle a device better just makes for a better experience.
Yeah, give me a Lenovo Legion Y700 and that thing would do wonders, but until that appears globally, I will just need to settle for the A7 Lite to play keep me happy.

this seems perfect for me. I just need a small tablet for media like youtube. I dont want a mini because i already have a ipad 10 and itd be overkill. Thanks for the review!

Recently I learned that Nokia also has a 8' tablet (T10) it's smaller than the A7 Lite and has a better processor. For me it's the best 8' tablet now, but it's still far away from the ipad

I did see that one pop up - it looked interesting but still very much in a similar ball park Now if we could get a global release of the Lenovo Y700, that thing would be fun

played with this at a display in Costco last week. Went back and forth between Chrome Browser and KZfaq. Browsing was slow (UI touch laggey). KZfaq actually froze up and refused to open up or close out. Had to restart the tablet. Not sure this is even worth $100 USD

At this point for a smaller Samsung tab, I would be looking at the A9 Still slow, but not nearly as underpowered as the A7 lite

It does, but apparently this can vary by region

How long does your battery last mine dies quick. I just got it like a week ago.

What counts as quick? It's only being used as a Kindle reader at the moment and it gets plugged in every few days to top it off. It isn't a huge battery for its size though.

Only thing I can think of is using something like accubattery to check on the drain source If nothing looks out of place, try a factory reset, otherwise get it replaced

Tab A7 Lite with a good CPU would be a great value rival for the Ipad Mini. Sadly the Tab A7 Lite is underpowered.

Yep, wouldn't take much either tbh A recent 6 or 7 series Snapdragon, or an older 8 series shouldn't increase cost by much, but would make this so much better!

@@FilthyCasualTech Higher spec cpu/gpu as oled etc. would only drain the battery. The size (coat pocketable) and performance (KZfaq,email,chess..) it does just fine.

Well, with better components it could get a bigger battery too. It currently has a similar sized one to a Pixel 6 Pro, so it should have room to expand. Obviously it would start getting expensive though.
