I got the tab s7fe for only 260. Samsung is giving a 500 credit if I trade it in. Essentially I could pay only 329 more and get the tab s8+ is it worth it do you think?

@@lenacheney Although I am a month too late I want to ask if your tab s7fe was a refurbished or not. I ask this because I’m not sure if you can get full credit for a refurbished item. I also want to do buy a s7fe for cheap and trade in for the credit to buy a s8+. If you have any answers please do let me know. Thanks

I was going to go for S7+ mainly for studying purposes and taking notes and things like that.i thought it will be better for the purpose i need it for. But now that i know from the comments section that there is one year update left for S7+ I am not sure if I should go for it. Please advice. I am looking for a affordable long lasting tab for reading and taking notes.

Adobe Rush works on my S20 Plus, which uses the SD 865, which is the same as the SD 865 Plus in the Tab s7.

The s6 lite just made me want one of these. I'm on it now and loving it but does slow down and makes me wish it performed as well as my phone since I don't need to use my phone except for with games anymore

I found that the S7plus right now is several dollars cheaper than the latter S8, which made me consider buying soon. However, this is the last year that Samsung is gonna be pushing some software updates... Question: Is Software update a major deciding factor? I am really confused. ps... I am more into savings but I also want quality over my purchases.

Security updates are probably the most important in my opinion, I'd have to look up how much longer for the 7+ but quality will be just as good as 8+

@@FishBeeProductions s8+ is too expensive for me. 😅 S7plus is good, since it is the bigger brother of S7 tab. Will I miss out too much if I take it and run it for 4 years? S8 is good but has a smaller screen and an IPS, but has the latest processor, improved latency and far more updates.. Im really confused.

I wish the S7p had the fingerprint on the power button. The screen never registers my fingerprint correctly.

i m really confused... s7+ has more good hardware but s8 has good software update upto 4 yrs also both are at similar price... what to choose???Should i consider s7+ for amoled display and 12.4inch display or go with s8 for 4yr software update support...... I am a student and need tab for studying, video lecture, notes......

did some research s7+ will still receive updates for the next 2ish years. However you will still be able to use a majority of functions even when the updates stop. I heard people are still using old models of android tablets for videos and note taking after having their tablets for 6+ years. I just purchased the s7+ last night to save some money.

@@hafy1 it is a tad bit big but if you are willing to get a case with a velcro handle it makes it pretty easy to use with one hand. I use mine for watching videos and drawing which I enjoy having the larger screen and the split keyboard also helps for typing.

I currently have a samsung galaxy tab s6 lite. I can trade it in for the Samsung s8 to make jt only 200$. I have never had any expirence with big tablets, but I want them. I would like the s7+ but it would take time to save up money for it. What should I do?

S8 is a nice upgrade in every category over the S6 lite. Plus versions are nice but some people think they're too big. Just depends what your looking for.

@FishBee Productions the biggest tablet I've ever had was the tab s 10.5 and it had the amoled display which I always thought was beautiful. But I don't know if it's worth the the price when I can get the s8

@@anshverma710 if u want a samsung tab, i suggest u to wait for S9 because 8gen 1 in S8 is actually underclocked and failed one since it was made by Samsung itself.. 8gen 2 will be better

tab s7 fe is same size but not as powerful and screen isnt as good, s8 plus is basically the same but newer version, little better performance, another option might be lenovo tab p12 pro but like the S7 plus, not sure how much longer that is getting software support

i disagree with the battery comparison. I had the tab s7 plus for a year before i changed it to the smaller tab s8, and I noticed that the tab s8 has longer battery life. With the tab s7 plus i could only get around 5 or 6 hours of video calling whereas the tab s8 lasts me like 8 or 9 hours of video call. And in general my tab s7 plus don't last me a day till i have to charge but my tab s8 just seems to not a run out of battery for a few days. I think it has to do with the fact that the tab s8 does not have the amoled screen and the refresh rate is adaptive and can go down to 60 hz when you don't need the 120 whereas the tab s7 plus will only stay at 120 hz unless you change it to 60 hz.

The AMOLED screen technology actually uses less battery life than the LCD technology.

This is so true i have seen this in a few reviews as well apparenty the bigger screen uses more power. Are you liking the display on the S8 im thinking of getting one soon. What do you use your S8 for if you dont mind me asking.

@@silverpro8356 it's surprising very nice!! The colors pop more compared to my galaxy s22. It's not as good as the tab s7 plus display but it's still very nice and definitely faster and the battery lasts a very long time which I love. I use it mainly for note-taking. I just really love the samsung notes. It's also great for media consumption. But it does not have very good app support especially the creative apps like light room, photoshop etc. But it's good enough for my use case as a student.

I just bought the s7+ for $470 at ebay. Very good deal and the tablet despite is used, is in perfect conditions. Im planning to use it for studying (notes, videos, pdfs , etc) I think is the right choice.

@@FishBeeProductions Yeah you are right but in terms of economy, I think the S7+ is more affordable and the difference between both is not that big. At least for the purposes Im going to use it :)

I would recommend the S7+ because of the larger screen and its Amoled display. If you can get the 8 GB RAM, 256 GB Storage version all the better. I even had the S8+ but returned it because I didn't like how the screen had a strong green tint to it and I decided to just keep the S7+ instead.

Will the tab s7+ become slow and poor performance due to lack of updates? Or will it continue to provide the same speed and performance?

tough to say until it happens. If a device gets slower sometimes you can fix that by doing a factory reset. I would be more concerned about apps not working properly once the device is no longer supported but usually that can take a couple years or sometimes more after the device is no longer officially getting major software updates.

2024 is the last year for software updates 2025 is the last year for security updates for the Samsung S7 plus.
