From what I understand, Google recently merged all their teams that were previously split amongst Pixel, ChromeOS and the hardware division into one department. Here's to hoping for more fluidity!

I just impulse bought the a9+ to play my favorite game on (mtg arena) because the 8gb/128gb was on sale for base model pricing. Im hoping to get more use out of it than just gaming, but I still seem to want to use my phone for pretty much everything else (KZfaq, web browsing, emails etc). Im guessing its the compact size that draws me to the phone. Any tips on how to get more out of your tablet (vs your phone) for every day leisure things (not necessarily productivity, I have a windows laptop for that).

I think we grab our phone out of convenience, not enjoyment. Like it's just easier to grab than a tablet. I'm not really sure how to encourage you to use it more. Everyone's a little different. I know for me, having a good case with a good kickstand helps because it will allow me to prop it up on my lap easily and it's nice to watch videos with it. Don't feel like you have to use it everyday to get your money's worth though. Finally, some people just aren't tablet people. Because it does require keeping an extra device charged. Enjoy it the best you can. If you have to return, return. I'd say the number one way to use it outside of gaming is going to be on KZfaq or watching videos.

On S6 lite with Office one can get things done. Little Samsung case/stand as Logitech kb & mouse and you're good to go. Not tried but should be an even smoother experience on A9plus both 4/8Gb RAM versions.

Exactly. And the A9 Plus is even nicer. It's so cool that even the $200 Galaxy Tablets are good enough now. Grateful for how tech has advanced

I have my tab a9 plus i dont do any editing, just browsing KZfaq, google keep . Its great for day to day tasks . I had the tab s 6 lite 2022 and ithad a great build quality but damn for me it was just a little but laggy . Nit too much but i did notice it . I would mainly use it to type on google keep and wat h youtube . Not bad its a great starter tablet but if you want a little extra power get the a9 plus

Exactly. The A9 Plus is a really nice bump up from the S6 Lite 2022. That essentially means we aren't going to have slow tablets anymore. If the low end Samsung's are fast we are in good shape. The A9+ even got DeX which is awesome

omg, same, i have the s6 lite previously too. i love the spen, i use it for my notes ALL THE TIME. And i js got the s9 plus about September last year, its very nice, the soen great, taking notes is super smooth now, i also take use of the multitask using multiview. and i also played lots of game, its super smooth, and also dex too, tho its kinda niche and not yet too completed, i was able to use it for presentation and i can use spen to slide thru slides, its so great. The only thing i dont like about wirelex dex is that it dont have full resolution yet. And idk why but my battery after one ui6 gotten kinda worse, sure its still great and last long but ehh, couldve been better

Hi, thanks for this video. I just want to make myself clear before buying any of this devices. I'm still thinking between either S9 Plus or S9 FE plus. 1) Is that realy the S9 FE plus can be connected to a a monitor/projector?2) Can S9 FE plus run the NOMAD sculpting apps? 3) Is S9 FE Plus can editing video smothly?

The S9 FE Plus cannot connect to a monitor. It can edit 1080p video smoothly or smaller 4k projects under 5 minutes with proxy files made.

Personally I would recommend the Samsung But it definitely depends on the person. For one, the Samsung comes with a stylus in the box and that's very significant. You will typically find more deals on the Samsung devices to so you may save like $200 buying an equivalent iPad. Especially with the stylus cost added in there. And you could charge the stylus on the device which is a big benefit too. IPads do you have some perks though, so if you are someone who has an iPhone, and you're already in the Apple ecosystem, that would be a great thing and I do think an iPad would be worth buying. They are slightly more powerful, even if you don't notice the power in most situations. And there are some perks to iPads. So I would just look at the device you want to use in your ecosystem, if you have Apple products already, it's not a bad thing to get an iPad. But I think the better value does that with Samsung for most people

The best tablet is definitely the Galaxy Tab S9. No doubt. It's got an AMOLED display versus the Pad 6 and it's IPS. It has more power than both of those tablets. And it has Google Play services vs the Huawei that doesn't. And it's got a better processor. And it's water resistant too

I hear you. I feel like I got enough information out of my testing. Because it worked fine even on 4K for almost half or 3/4 of a project. It only slowed down with more and more 4K files on the timeline. So I know 1080p shouldn't be a problem. I agree it's good to double check it, the time was limited and I've got so many videos to make. But that is something I plan to do eventually

What if I want to remote desktop into my pc So I could run the applications from that office computer while 'm in another part of the house.Is there a way to do that? Question mark

Yes. You could Google Chrome remote desktop. And you can get that set up on your computer. And then you can download the Chrome remote desktop app and you can control it from the tablet or your phone. If you swipe down from the top as well, there is a feature called second screen, where it will wirelessly connect your computer as a monitor. You just have to go into your windows computer and connect it as a wireless display, which you can search in the search bar. So there's a lot of cool things you can do

I use tablets mostly for the pen handwriting experience in note taking, journaling and sketching and to some extent light photo editing. It’s nice, too, to watch movies on a device with wider screen than your phone and without a keyboard attached to it while on the go on a plane or train. Other than that like video editing and heavy gaming I use laptops and desktop devices for serious work.

Battery life is really good on the S9, you can check comparisons between the S9+ and S9Ultra, the difference is minimal, I use the S9 for note taking mostly so, for me battery could last up to 3 days using it 3h a day in average. I think it could pretty easily give 9h in one day if you’re using office type of apps only.

I'm a little concerned about the changes they Dex on one ui 6. The new version looks almost indistinguishable from the screen mirroring. And it lost support for external monitors, keyboard shortcuts for window placement, a bunch of settings are greyes out. And you can't switch to it if you're using a third party launcher Classic Dex It's still an option and has all those features, but it's no longer the option they're pushing. And since classic Dex is going to be buried in the settings. I'm worried about it's growth and future. I hope I am wrong because Dex has been the primary selling point for me getting Samsung tablets. But the rebranding of Classic Dex makes me think to stay our pivoting away from the idea of a standalone functionally separate desktop mode. The new Dex since almost pointless to me, I would rather just mirror the screen. (I think these changes have only rolled out on tablets so far).

I do agree with you. I'm sure they'll add a lot more features to the new DeX to bridge the gap... But will they really offer two versions and continue offering them both? Or will they keep going away from the old? That's something we'll have to see. I know the reaction among the community is mostly been negative. So they might take note of that.

Microsoft offers free Office with a student account, no need to subscribe. With that said, why in the world would anyone want to use Microsoft anything on a Samsung? Especially when Google Docs lets you output to MS Word file format? I was a student who used Google for everything while in school. Not one single professor checked to see what application/operating system I was using. The ONE professor that was picky I simply exported whatever he wanted in the Microsoft version but most didn't care as long as the work got done and handed in on time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And the one keyboard you missed was the Dexnor Magic Style keyboard case. THAT's productivity on a Samsung tablet! I only wish it had come along sooner.

Those are some excellent additions. I always think of a little more to add. That's a good point that college students would get office 365 anyway. I might share that in a pinned comment. And with college I agree you can always use Google docs, but I've had that rare issue, occasionally, where converted files would look funny in word. If happens. But most of the time you can make it work. Also, I plan to make an "accessory" video with the Tab S9 Plus. And S9 Plus FE. And I plan to include the Dexnor keyboard in that.

Really wish Android tablets would get software and security updates more consistently. It’s the biggest factor in me not recommending them to friends and family. The second biggest is the lack of good accessories (think MagSafe or the Magic Keyboard). Things are getting better, but still not consistent enough to recommend.

I guess I disagree. I'm getting updates pretty consistently on all my Tab S9 devices. Really enjoying it! But yeah at some point they do switch security updates to quarterly. I get that.

I use a9 plus with Dex and i also have 365 and wps office but i like wps because it allows you to open multiple documents just like laptop.i have lot of documentation work which i do on my ap plus its very portable and easy to work on rather than laptop

I want to let you behind the curtain for a minute. You would either look at this and be happy that I shared a little bit about my life with you. Or, you could just be annoyed. But I'll take the time to share a lot here. While I appreciate you watching my videos, I really do, you should know, I've had 2 people on my entire channel ask for that video, only 2 or 3 that I've seen. This video has already performed better than any of the last 10 videos that I've done. And realize that my audience uses all types of Galaxy Tablets, far more of them would prefer a video like this. Let me explain how this works though. Trying to be charitable and explain. I'm not made of money by any means. I can't afford to keep 10 tablets on hand at all times. So sometimes I have to buy and resell things to keep content going. If I buy a device at full retail, like $1,800 for a foldable, then make a video and make $5 of the ads, it's a dumb investment. So a month ago, I got a steal on another Galaxy Tab S9 Plus. I got it for like $500. I have the Tab S9 FE already. I knew my audience would love a video like this. They also love updated reviews. Now I can give an updated review on the S9 Plus, the S9FE Plus, and I can even make an accessory video later since they share many of the same accessories. That will get me 3 videos out of it. Then I can resell these Galaxy tablets, maybe even for profit, and buy different models or an iPad. Well in the meantime, OnePlus sent the OnePlus 12r for review. I think it's one of the best mid range phones out. So that's 4 videos already. I do about one video a week, because I work a full-time job. I've got a family with 3 kids who all need time, and a wife. 1 of them a foster kid with severe trauma. And we went through a hard financial time years ago. Simply put. I have to be wise. If I can get 3 videos out of devices I have, if I get a really really good deal on devices, I have to take advantage of that. I also need to work with brands. I'll always be fair in my reviews. But it's important. It's not as easy as buying an iPad and getting in front of a camera. I've got 4 full videos recorded right now. And I need to record more b roll, edit all of them, and sell at least one of them before I can get more devices. This is why it's important to support smaller KZfaqrs. I don't make a lot of money but every dollar I make goes a long way to supporting a real family. And I will go above and beyond to take care of my audience. My daughter is using the A9+ for now. I'm ready to take it over in a few weeks. I do plan to get an iPad and do that comparison. And I plan to do an A9+ accessory video. But I need time. I have to get through all of these other videos. My audience does care about most of them. And in the end, I'll probably make more A9+ videos than 9999.9% of KZfaqrs. I'll probably make five or six videos about it all year. Maybe more. Most tech channels won't touch it. Hopefully this helps explain things some.

@@AndroidDigestBased on what you say here, I sincerely encourage you to look at doing more reviews of mid range and budget devices. All the big channels cover the flagships, but the midrange and budget buyers are woefully underserved by the big name channels (Flossy Carter being an exception). This would allow you to make more videos for less while not competing directly with bigger names like The Verge, et al.

I appreciate your thoughts. And I agree with you, to a degree. The most popular thing on my channel is Android tablets, the second most popular thing is Chrome OS tablets. And the third most popular thing tends to be Samsung Galaxy A phones. And sometimes the occasional foldable. And the least popular thing is actually flagships. I'm starting to get more and more into the budget phones and I'm starting to review less higher end phones. I still want to cover a few. But throughout the year you'll see me throw in some reviews on things like the Moto g stylus maybe and some other mid-range phones. I'm reviewing the OnePlus 12R soon and I'll be reviewing a lot of phones under $500 this year. That's my plan at least, it will still be few and far between because of a lot of Galaxy tablet videos and Android tablets. And some Chrome OS devices. I like to cover a lot of Android stuff. But your words are true. And I agree with you. Budget phones are overlooked severely. And that's why I covered the a 15, the a25, and did a comparison. And I plan to cover more
