I got 4 hours use before overheating. Absolutely ridiculous. Returned instantly. Sad because the watch looks nice. Got the lte version and noticed within the 4 hours that the battery was draining badly

No, resetting won't work. It has been a known issue in ALL models that Galaxy watches overheat and they have no fix to it other than to replace the watch. It happened to my Watch 2 (wifi) and searching reddit, samsung forums and other forums, you'll find a multitude of overheating problems in every model that there is. My advice, don't bother buying a galaxy watch ever. Even if I can replace my watch right now from Best Buy with up to $120 off to the watch 4 by trading in my slow charging and overheating watch 2, I decided to not even do it after seeing all the forums about the aforementioned problem.

The galaxy watch 4 LTE is garbage….i was on 2 phone calls and after a minute watch said has to cool down and it disconnected me from the call….im sending it back. I’ll wait to eventually get the Apple watch. It seems all Samsung late watches since 2018 had the same issue….if your thinking of buying an LTE dont

Same overheating story here. Incredibly disappointing. Seems like they intentionally are selling an unusable product to make more profits. Watch physically hurt my wrist from overheating

My watch doesnt charge because of overheating apparently. Its the active 2. So I cant do any of this since the watch wont start at all and that too a 2 month old watch.

I hate people advising to factory reset your devices. It does work in a few situation, but most it doesn't. By doing so, it erases everything, you have to start over, and it doesn't fix it. Don't give people this kind of advice. It makes you look like noob.

Well, at least if you place watch on top of small usb or computer case Fan. Streaming audio or videos will keep working, no high heat warnings, tried this and confirmed.

Galaxy watch 4 lte is trash. Don't sell a device that users can't actually use. Full of features but battery dies if you actually use them. Absolutely disgusting.

Just got the Gw4 and it runs my battery down from a full charge in less than 4 hrs. Goes into airplane mode after a couple minutes on phone. So disappointed because now I have to not only take it back but T-Mobile charges a restocking fee.

None of these fixed my issue. My number is shared with my phone too. Absolutely useless watch. If you bought it recently, return it ASAP, it will NOT get better.

For anyone interested; my Watch 4 was overheating after only 1min 50 sec on an LTE-only phone call. Factory reset never fixed it. Sent it to Samsung, and these are the repair notes. Watch is still in transit, so I haven't tested it: Original Problem: OTHER - OTHER - OTHER Problem found: LTE RF TEST FAIL - HRM SENSOR FAILURE Solution: REPLACED PBA - REPLACED COMPONENT - S/W UPDATED

@@eurobeatmachinist732 Oh man, where do I even begin? This has the been the absolute biggest sh*tshow with Verizon and Samsung. Get the repaired Watch4 back. Fails to reactivate with LTE service. Three customer service phone calls, four Verizon LiveChats, four support tickets, two calls with Verizon Level 2 Tech, two Samsung LiveChats, one visit to a Verizon Corp store, two entirely different phone numbers to attempt activation on, countless Watch4 factory resets, many Samsung Wearable app resets, and many QR codes later, the Watch4 STILL fails to activate. Samsung sent me a replacement Watch4, so I’ll never know if the repairs even worked since it is a different Watch4. Oh, and it still isn’t activating.

@@zurkeydurkey I too have my watch w Verizon. Horrible. So frustrating. Nothing fixes this issue. There is no point on owning this watch. Even my galaxy s22 ultra has issues. Very disappointing!

As a Samsung fan Samsung watches are garbage I will say this about Samsung this problem has been an issue ever since they switched to wear OS. When Samsung was running their own tizen interface their watches didn't have these problems of shutting down and having a cool down to my knowledge. Just like if you look at the Google pixel watch which runs where OS and that watch don't even last a day the battery life is so bad. Samsung should have stayed with their own tizen os. Or maybe Samsung just maybe need to do a better job optimizing wear OS because the tickwatch pro 5 has great battery life and doesn't shut off anything.
