I was just about to write the same thing. Even if the review is meant for 'his' kind of ppl, it doesn't hurt if he's a connoseur. Cmon we the early adapters are kind of the first ppl that should be informed and educated on the product. Wtf Samsung!!

I own this watch, I've always worn watches and have been pleasantly surprised with this being my first smart watch, its no bigger than my usual watches so there was no adjustment period, I love how comfortable it is to wear from a watch perspective, I also enjoy the tons of free watch faces available on the galaxy store, as well as the fitness tracking. It is a fantastic watch that I would recommend, I'm planning on getting a galaxy active watch soon for my more casual outfits

They're (Samsung) shooting themselves in the foot with Bixby. I understand they want their own software but they gotta start letting you use Google Assistant instead as an option. I would consider buying this watch. Tizen looks good, but no Google Assistant? F that

Samsung is known for not being able to fix bugs. Has many products from Samsung. TV 2016 has bugs but is no longer supported, soundbar 2017 has bugs but is no longer supported and my Gear S3 has bugs but is no longer supported. The kilometer counter stops and Samsung Pay logs out and you have to re-enter your debit card. Samsung = Too many new products and quickly leave the old ones on the go

No mention about limited application for use with NON-Samsung phones. Not able to use Samsung Pay at all without a Samsung phone, limits pairable devices for SHealth (polar H7, blood pressure cuff, weight scales) and forces use of Watch HRM. I love my S3 Frontier and Gear Sport...better and unsurpassed with a Samsung phone.

The thing about bixby is it is not a voice assistant but is more a voice interface what i mean is it does better doing stuff locally (changing settings things inside of apps etc) (also apperently bixby is just a resin of a voice on the Watch)

Who needs mst know a days more places are NFC know and the odds ill leave my phone at home unless i go for a walk or run well yeah i got mst on my note nine so i rather care of more battery life than MST function

What every reviewer forget to mention is that tizen sucks from an android point of view. Chat apps like WhatsApp and telegram etc ARE NOT COMPATIBLE! If you receive more than one message you can not read them all, just the very last one. So if you're a person who's out to read your texts on your watch you can forget about it since you have to pull out your phone all the time. No one will develop apps for tizen since Samsung are the only ones using it. Had the S3 Frontier for a day and then I returned it because of this.

id like to know if the music player is supported with equalizer. ive been checking it but none has answered my question up until now. playing music with this watch would be my prime purpose. TIA

Looks like a really great watch, but my venerable but aging Gear S2 is still working just fine. It does everything this watch does with the bonus of MST Samsung Pay but battery life has really taken a hit. Won't even make it through 1/2 day, have to put it into power saving mode. Actually not that big of a deal since it still fitness tracks in that mode. Regarding Bixby, man I just can't figure that one out. S Voice on my S2 works perfectly 99% of the time. Go figure.

My Gear S3 lasted 3 days with AOD and moderate to heavy usage. You could get 4 out of it with AOD Enabled if your not constantly waking the watch every 5 minutes like I do.

I would've meet my S3 Frontier, but the battery wouldn't last no more than 8 hours on a full charge. So now I do have the Galaxy Watch and quite frankly, I like it better. Send more fluid and seamless compared to the S3

If my Pebble Time dies, this is looking like what I'll get. But I need a new phone first... one whose battery doesn't go to shit after two years like my S7 Edge (though that might have been the Oreo update's fault, it certainly wasn't great on Nougat either).

Galaxy watch, just a good looking watch not a very good tracker. One of the costliest watch out there one expects that it should have all the features of a good fitness tracker but alas this watch does not measure VO2 MAX nor can it measure free training . Honor magic watch at approx $160 can do both of that.

Seriously, I've watched 4 "reviews" and 3 "hands on" and no one from these main tech channels ever gets into a direct comparison between the S3 frontier and this one. Why should any one buy this instead of the 2 year old one considering it costs +120$ than the S3 frontier. Stating specs we can read on the samsung page doesn't qualify as a review, huge thumbs down.

When you talk try to sound a bit less annoyed, a bit less "I just wanna go through this" and a bit more like... hard to describe. Look how Doug de Muro is talking (tone up and down especially at the end of the sentence) and with an occasional little joke in the sentence. Together with the good looks and the good content your video could be much more pleasant to look and listen to.,

The UI looks great, its just a shame the device looks so dull & bland. Something more rugged looking would be welcome as nearly ALL smartwatches (except casio, maybe) just look like every other boring watch. Also nowhere near worth $350 for THAT.

SPay hasn't been removed, MST has been, which isn't a problem for any developed country outside US as everywhere has moved to NFC.

Have the black version and I love it. For me the 42mm is the perfect size. The 46mm is too big. I'm a "normal size dude" 6 feet 1 inch tall and 185lbs.

I know there’s nothing original about this comment, but seriously. You’re not a SmartWatch person, you haven’t worn a SmartWatch since the original LG one, and you’re not capable of drawing comparisons based on experiences with other watches. Considering the fact that a tech review, at its core, is meant to help viewers make better decisions about their purchases, did you really think it was a good idea to review this yourself? Because nobody else in the comments section does.

But wait, when the original smart watches came out who would have been experienced with wearables to draw comparisons or review/rate them? I think we have to look at this review as if it is from someone just getting into the reviewing video segment, this shouldn't be over judged like it is.
