*Quick correction: Only the front cover display and the back of the phone use Gorilla Glass Victus. Also, at one point I said the main display is 6.7 inches, but it's 7.6 inches. Thanks for stopping by and watching! Even if you don't plan on buying the Fold 3, do you think foldable phones are here to stay?

Loved the flip 3 but I sent it back cause battery is just too small! Exchanged it for the fold 3 and super stoked!

I think Samsung is taking a great approach with the Foldables, but they do need to come out with apps optimized for it, not saying 3rd party apps, but there own. Also the battery needs to improve.

That split view is fire especially since I watch a lot of streams on my phone. So having the chat on the bottom where I can type without decreasing the size of the stream is great 👍🏾

I find the fact that the front screen is narrower then the average cell phone, makes it much easier for one-handed use. It also feels much more natural holding up to your ear and talking on it.

For me, the front screen is a deal-breaker as my workflow is mainly texts, messages, emails, etc, that I want to respond to quickly without having to unfold 100 times a day, so a wider display is essential for me as it just makes my user experience much better. I use buds for phone calls! Hopefully the Fold4 will rectify that design flaw and I am sure that many more people would be interested with a more sensible contemporary aspect ratio?

Yea it's a delicate balance to get the front screen just right. I just want it a little bit wider for typing purposes.

I have the note 10+ and I have to shift my grip all the time for one handed usage I feel like this will be the perfect size for my hands.

@@andyH_England if you use the swipe method, it won't be a problem. With my N10+, it can be a slight issue doing this one handed. The narrow screen actually looks like it'll be easier to do this for what you use it for. I don't really see it as a flaw

yes this so much this!! I dont see anyone actually talking about how the narrow cover screen actually makes it so much more ergonomic of a PHONE, but everyone just takes a look at it and sais its too small for 2 hands like OPEN it when you use 2 hands lol

Hey man, there's a better way to take selfies using the rear cameras. Open the camera app on the cover display and tap on the top right icon which says "selfie". You can now unfold the phone and you can select which lens to use in various modes like photo and video.

I've had the first two version of this phone, two of the fold an on my first one of the fold 2... All three have had a component failure on the fold itself at exactly the same position, it seems like something has burnt out an 'burned' a circle the same size as the camera in the middle of the screen.... Have you found the same issue with your previous folds an if so do you know if its been fixed for this version?

Using fold 3 since last few days. The aspect ratio of inside display kind of under utilize the screen estate for videos in most cases. Apart from that it's all pretty much good. Reading on the inside screen is great.

This is because absolute dumbasses want a "full-size/width" cover display which turns the inside tablet display into a shitty fucking square. 🤷 See the OnePlus Open for all the proof you need of this. Because it's so god damn fucking square, the viewable 16:9 media area is literally slightly SMALLER than the significantly smaller total screen area Fold 4/5! 😳🤯

Yes it has Dex. Yes, the crease is still there

Yes it has Dex, and the Crease is not noticeable at all when looking at the screen head on. The reason why you see the crease as such an issue in all these tech videos is because they use camera angles that are off centre. If you look at the screen off centre you will see the crease, but you won't be using it off centre.

I think its worth the money now...im not sure why you would want thr front and inside two match... i initally did that and i noticed i use the two completely differently so now i have the front customized to how i use it with larger and few icons than the inside

I adjusted to the form factor quicker than I expected. What's your favorite aspect of the Note phones? How do you use your s-pen and how often?

As always, nice video and review. I think I am returning my Fold 3. After getting past the foldable feature, and the convienance of having a pocketable tablet/phone, you're stuck with two inferior qualitative(lack thereof) and usability screens at the end of the day.

In a perfect world for me they would have made this phone like the patent they released late last year where the screen sides folds around the back to give you a full size phone in folded up mode, a magnetic cradle for the Spen AND A BIGGER BATTERY!

Both screens aren't Gorilla Glass Victus just the cover screen. The unfolded screen is just newer Ultra thin glass tech that is 80% more durable and actually feels like glass. Had my fold 3 sense the 25th its amazing. I cant even notice theres a notch or UDC on unfolded display when watching content or gaming. Great review 3:18 soldier must hate LinusTT thats one heck of a drowning.

I went to a samsung store and dug my fingernails on the screen hoping to dent the phone but no matter how hard i press my nails, it didnt make any noticeable dents it felt frustrating actually. So i got one.

Watch JerryRig, I was impressed, and I feel that ignoring the Fold3 due to worries about the durability is now less worrisome? Time will tell as the Fold2 had issues with age, but I would not rule it out as I did it the Fold2 reliability concerns (justified).

@@themarchauss theres a real life test on KZfaq with screen on and running games/apps. It lasted just under 8 hours. I would say you may have an issue. Ring samsung see what they say.
