I was really hoping the outside screen was wider than is expected being the 6th generation of the Z Fold I had every Fold from 2 up to 5 and ended up opting for the OnePlus Open for the better usability of the front screen. There are many times where you want to be able to type texts or emails without opening the phone to the larger screen especially when in a public place where you want more privacy. All of the Z Folds were virtually impossible to hand type on using the outside screen and in trying to do so, I always found myself having to backspace every other word because I would hit multiple keys all the time. Im sure that Samsung has a plan for that but its an awfully long year waiting for the next model and more importantly, awfully expensive if you buy each new model. Thays why I plan to ride out this latest model coming out and see what happens next year.......

I've went from 2 to 5 and will be getting 6 and I'm done until there is an actual change in modern phone tech. I will not be doing yearly "upgrades" there's no point

@@Xis66 Exactly! Samsung also wants almost 2k for the latest and I picked up the OnePlus Open for $599 with trade in of my Z Fold 5. But even without the trade in, the OnePlus Open lists for $1,499 which is 3 to 5 hundred less dollars than the Z Fold which is a smaller phone etc.....

@@steved8563Open is cheaper because it has no water submersion resistance. If you drop it in a puddle or sink your 1500 is gone

@@gaming-den I do! The S-Pen is a very useful piece of tech. I can sign documents, take notes, edit photos and videos

I'm still using my 2018 Hauwei Mate 20x. It still works fine. Sometimes it's response time show it's age. So choosing a Gen 2 or Gen 3 processor I will not see a difference in performance. So I would probably go for the year old OnePlus Open over the new pricey Z6. Price matters to me. Maybe OnePlus might do a one day super sale when Samsung do the pre order sign up. Crossing my fingers.

Enough of the body and specs that has been released for weeks now, alot of people are waiting for one thing and that's crease visibility, on an official unit, I know you can only report what you can find, but for some reason these tech channels are gatekeep ing the crease on the actual unit, when it's known they get a actual unit before reveals, any other years the crease on an official fold not just a dummy unit would have already been leaked but they gatekeeping it, because it's prbly the same as the Fold 5.

Lmao I’ve seen the phone the crease is a lot less noticeable now. They used thicker glass in turn you can’t see the crease as much and it’s more durable. I had a Samsung rep come in my store and show us

The Fold 6 does not hold a candle to the Honor Magic V3 or the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, or Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. All three run laps around the Fold 6 and Samsung needs to innovate to keep up with the Chinese foldables that are releasing global versions of their devices. Compare the specs of those 3 devices with the Fold 6 before you buy another Samsung foldable.

As much as I like samsung devices its a bummer to see oneplus and honor make larger slimmer phones. I don't think this is the year I switch. If samsung takes some notes from the honor, I'd definitely be more interested. It's a bummer thought this would be the year I get a foldable

Yeh but if they are aiming it as a gaming phone they need to fix the issue of the inner screen strength as I know people that have the fold 4 and 5 and the screen saver does not last long

All i know is that crease better look like the one plus open crease atleast, hardly notible, they keep talking about the outer body, but they are avoiding leaking or showing the actual crease, and the sad part is I know some of the phone channels have an actual unit but don't want to leak the crease, even one plus open lack of crease was leaked... Smh

Warning! AVOID SAMSUNG. I bought a Galaxy 24 Ultra 512 GB. The phone was constantly warm, the battery life was worse than on my S23+ and the fast charging didn´t work. Very bad quality. Contacted their technical support but they we unable to help me becaure the diagnostics system didn´t work for a whole week. They told me to take the phone to a repair shop. Unbelieveble! They want to repair a couple of weeks old premium phone ?!?! My feeling is that they do not care about their customers. Feels that you´re paying for a Ferrari buy they deliver a Lada. I do NOT recomment this device, it will disappoint you. I will not buy another Samsung product. Really bad service and while the technical support can´t help it is impossible to speak to somebody responsible.
