This video will show you how to fresh reset reinstall reinstallation of your Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Vista operating system on most of your SAMSUNG laptop and desktop computers. Try the following combinations in this order when the SAMSUNG logo at startup. You might have to try several times.
1. Tap or Hold Down the F11 Key upon startup (when Samsung logo appears.
2. Hold down the F4 Key while tapping the F7 Key (when Samsung log appears)
3. Just tap repeatedly the F4 key (when Samsung logo appears)

if you are in the market for a new laptop I would recommend an ASUS due to how they are manufactured now compared to HP, Dell, Gateway, etc today. Thank you so much buddy. It’s “only” F4 button that you have to tap a lot to get to recovery. You saved me few hundred dollars. I was about to buy new laptop.

Just a note for the users. This Restore will wipe the hard drive of all of your files. Before you run the Restore you should run the Backup section of the recovery options and backup your files and pictures and music,etc. to a large enough USB external drive. Then do the Restore, and then copy your files from the USB drive back to the computer.

1st day of school for me and my laptop got stuck in a booting loop last week. I searched all over KZfaq and couldn’t find a video to help so I ordered a windows 10 recovery disc, which arrived today, only for this video to pop up in my recommendations 🤦🏾‍♀️. Needless to say your video helped me fix my laptop. F11 worked for me btw.

Thanks for your help. I found a Samsung notebook 370R in the electronic bin where i live. I had to use F4 and tap F7. Så now the pc is going back to fabric adjustment. Great review :-)

Vegas Vixen the beeps are the type of code that tells you what the issue is. Look up beep codes for your device.

Hi I want to reset the samsung laptop to factory settings. The Hard disk is partitioned to 2 segment C: and D: drive respectivelyi have all the personal details stored in D: drive. When it resets to factory setting will it only reset the C: drive only and retain all the files and folders safe in D: Drive, or will it be format the D: drive as well. I am unable to copy the folders and files from the D: driver to the external hard disk due to permission issues. seeking your help

Samsung might well be a good brand for computers but mine just had its second hard drive crash or so it seems. This is the last resort before buying another hard drive. Hope it works. I also have an Asus (also i7) and not a day's bother since I bought it. Thanks for the tip, mate. Cheers!

Peter Latham ~~ You’ve probably either figured something out or moved on to something different by now but I know if when you power on basically any laptop running Windows, if you press and hold the power button when the logo appears right after turning it on, it will shut back down. When you turn it back on the next time, it will automatically take you into the windows startup repair program. There’s a choice for advanced options or something similar that will give you the option to restore, repair, command prompt and a couple other things as well. Not sure where he’s saying F7 to do recovery from because F7 is a boot option button for windows 7. F4 pushed once will take you to recovery if it’s working. Viruses and other malicious softwares can disable your recovery program all together making it not accessible through the regular F4 settings. Anyhow, thought I’d mention that and good luck to you!

You need to get the Windows operating system with the right version (ex Home Premium, Pro, etc) DVD install disc. Then you will manually verify the WIndows product key while online with your computer. You can get these install discs for as low as 10 bucks on Ebay.

Try F2 to get into BIOS settings and move your hard drive to the #1 slot in the boot sequence if it is not there already.
