So basically the story is a theory has been floating around for many years that the sounds heard here were included in Windows Longhorn even though Longhorn used the Windows XP/2003 sounds all the way up to Vista RC1 until the final sounds debuted. The sounds heard here are truly created by Samsung Electronics and were even with there phones. Microsoft never used or owned these sounds what so ever they were only included in this theme package for Windows XP created by Samsung themselves and also used with there phones as i mentioned earlier.

Glad that you enjoyed it, the sounds are honestly the best part but the wallpaper is cool too, only thing i wished is that the logonui actually showed a message when you were starting up and shutting down, other than that it’s very nice.

@@winternichols22 I have first hand knowledge of what they were, I was part of the closed beta program, they sounded NOTHING like these. These were Samsung sounds. Robert Fripp played the guitar and they were very rock style and NOTHING like these. They are LOST to time, I promise you, the disks were destroyed. I don't know why Microsoft went out of their way to pay Fripp then use NONE of his work.

Yes, im using that one actually. Its "cosmic radio" notification sound and its awfully familiar to device in sound if not the same. Im glad someone else noticed it.

Yep, i will never understand who made such a theory but hey, least we know the truth now.

You can use it on 10 if you just manually apply it, i have manually applied it to Vista and 7 before.

If possible, because last I used Linux (KDE Plasma), since Plasma 6, you're able to change the System sounds easier, which with KDE3 (Trinity Desktop Environment), you'd have to do it manually...still though, the sounds bring back memories of having to go to Newgrounds or Armor Games, and having to play a Flash game that had these system sounds in it.

@@NathanDarkson984 i mean it’s a wallpaper and sounds, you can literally apply it to any os that has the ability to change system sounds and the wallpaper and for the logon screen, you can screen shot the wallpaper used and apply it as your lock screen background.

Windows Codename Longhorn uses the same sounds as Windows XP/Windows Server 2003. These sounds are the Samsung OEM Sounds. The same sounds are also included in the Royale Remixed theme as well.

@@winternichols22 The startup and shutdown sounds in this theme were used in fake mock ups of longhorn and has been spread as the longhorn startup sound! its wonderful that we found the origin of those sounds though
