After one ui 6.0 my battery life has dropped a lot then finally one ui 6.1 increased it a lot so I'd wait and see what KZfaq videos show and how it affects the battery before choose to do something stupid

@@daveadams6421 a new Android version brings myriads of security not just functionality and aesthetics improvements. Every time you upgrade many apps upgrade too. So you should install the major OS update and then wait for any fixes that might take months to come.

I got used to it and now know exactly what page my apps are on, which is crazy considering I only have maybe 6-7 apps on my actual homescreens. I used to do the vertical app drawer and idk... either or. At this point I'm grateful for where we are with phones.

Lol yeah. s21 is realistically speaking not that old tho😅. It's kinda sad that as soon as something reaches the 1 year mark, the tech world essentially forgets about it unless it's a budget choice. I'm looking forward to manufacturers prioritizing longevity. There's a lot of people that don't change their phones every year. (I used to...but don't see the point anymore tbh)

@jaydog-vz6vt Yes but many people are still using S20 series phones with love. It is sad that they have to upgrade just because of software updates while the phone is still good you know. I know it's business but if I were them I'd still offer support for 1-2 more years.

I think what the GoodLock team member means is that they'll bring back the vertical app drawer function in GoodLock, not that One UI 7 will have vertical app drawer functionality.

I hope I'm not getting green lines with the new update. Last time, when I got an update on my S21 FE, the next day I had 2 lines. Now I have S23 Ultra. One UI 6 went smooth but not sure about the next version.

With One UI 6 update there has been a new issue with Galaxy s22 ultra. As soon as the phone starts heating it loses the 5g network and shifts to 4g network . Also the phone has been heating a lot and the battery backup has reduced drastically. The charging speed is also very bad. These issues have not been resolved yet.

Just my opinion but the app drawer is fine so if it's not broken don't fix it. I'm not a very big fan of the vertical app drawer. Feels too cluttered to me. with the side app drawer the way that it is I can organize my apps into categories. Just not a fan of the alphabetical vertical app drawer. I mean giving the option for the people that like? it sure, absolutely, but don't completely change it.

Hopefully, they will make a lot of improvements in the new One UI 7. Currently, one UI 6.1 has some problems, such as battery drain and poor speaker quality.

@jeezkanha8846 The volume is not as good as it was when the phone came with One UI 5.1. The speakers were much better then. I can definitely see the difference. Of course, they can fix it with a software update.

Not to rain on your parade but it probably means Good Lock will have the vertical app drawer functionality not One UI 7. I like it the way it is and never use vertical BUT I am one voice in a sea of millions. Besides I do have Good Lock so I've options. And yeah I've an S23 Ultra so I'll get it One UI 7 and android 15.
