I have experienced many barriers in getting orders from apps and websites like Amazon, Flipkart, and others.
Some years ago, I explored the best machines on the Amazon shopping app and chose a Samsung brand machine. I ordered it, and a few days later, I received my order, but it was not what I had ordered. The item did not match the details on the page and did not work properly.
I needed help regarding my order, but there was no support for interpretation accessibility on Amazon's options for Deaf customers. Anyway, I tried to find Amazon's email and then texted them about the issues I faced. I received many calls from Amazon customer support, who were not aware that I am Deaf. I faced issues due to the lack of accessibility. I had to find someone else to help contact them, and then the issues were solved. However, I feel like accessibility is not available for Deaf customers to communicate on their own. I hoped for it, but it was not an option.
Similarly, Flipkart does not have any options to provide accessibility for interpretation calls for Deaf customers. I faced issues and texted Flipkart support, but they called me many times.
There has been no change to improve accessibility for Deaf customers.
Later, I discovered an unbelievable website, which is Samsung. I have had a much better experience with Samsung's website for order support compared to other apps and websites.
My device's charger was not working properly and had some issues. I found the interpretation accessibility option on Samsung's website. I requested help, and an interpreter was ready to assist me. We talked about the issues I was experiencing. The interpreter was awesome and professional, providing excellent support and help.
I am thrilled with Samsung for offering interpretation accessibility options for Deaf customers, ensuring no barriers. I believe this will make the world better.
We kindly request that companies provide accessibility for Deaf customers who need support and information. I hope they will improve this service continuously.
I made a video with the interpreter and would like to share it with you.
