Samsung S10e Bootlooping & No Power Solution. How To Recover Data From a Phone With CPU Problems
This Samsung Galaxy S10e came in bootlooping & the customer needed their pictures & texts out of it. After some time, the phone stopped showing any signs of life at all. It was brain dead.

In order for us to be able to extract all the photos & videos out of it, we have to fix it enough to back up the data. In this case, we know this model is experiencing BDS (Brain Dead Syndrome), which basically means, the CPU or the UFS has stopped responding.
There are a lot of Samsung phones that suffer from BDS, most commonly is the Samsung S7, Samsung S7 Edge, S8, S8 Plus, S10, S10 Plus, S10e, Note 8, Note 10, Note 10 Plus, as well as many A series, like Samsung A50, A53 and many more!
The only way to fix it is to reball the CPU or the UFS. This will give the phone enough life to turn on, so we can unlock it and run a Smart Switch Backup.
🚨Please do not try this yourself. This requires many months of practice & skill to do this successfully. You will risk losing all your data if you attempt to remove the CPU or UFS with no microsoldering experience🚨
Our technique is to first pull the UFS, as it’s the easier chip to remove & work on, read the UFS health with our JC U15 UFS Programmer, to make sure the UFS is still good, then reinstall it.
If it boots up, then we can pull data.
If it doesn’t then we would proceed with a CPU Reball.
We got lucky in this case, we only needed a UFS reball to get the customer’s data.

Is the 8V fast charging? Cause a phone im working on i was getting 8 almost 9 out of a 5V brick. the IC power chip gets super hot. Can't wait to get a DC power supply and Thermal cam.

While testing the chip over usb it might be smart to backup encrypted partitions (everything) in case something goes wrong after soldering it back to phone . Then you can write it to another eMMC and try to recover again?

He's just using the JC programmer to check the "health" of the UFS chip only, no programming is done since all files are encrypted.

Bruh why you do this to me? I just bought myself an s10e to find out they have a little issue where they crap out out of nowhere😂😂. Also, why do you concider the phones you repair "unstable"? I never dealt with this issue on phones, but I do have expirience reballing CPUs on laptops. If done properly, witch your work defenetly is, why couldn't it go back into service?

Honestly, I think its the same as when a 3rd party repair shop do a back glass replacement and say they can't guarantee it being water resistant. I mean surely glue or sticker tab is the same thing but without a proper way to test it they wouldn't give it as stable. My assumption here is that , perhaps its mainly because some functions can be lacking depending on damage to the ic. Unlike laptops these phones have it glued in place.

It's a lot of work to solve. So we're better off just fixing it for data. In my experience, they don't last very long. Could be deeper issues on the PCB

Chips cracking off the circuit board are usually caused by a or many drops, they don't just pop by itself. It could also be caused by liquid damage. If it'a a new phone and take good care of it with a good thick case, Samsung phones can last as long as any other brand.

@@BillAnt It is not a new phone, but it hasn't been used in the last 3 years, was still on android 9 when i got it. Wallet style case should keep it safe. I thought the contacts break due to heat cycles like they do on laptops. I have seen my galaxy s6 go upto 83 degrees under heavy load .

@@filenotfound__3871 - It's rarely caused by heat cycles, though it may be an additional factor. From my experience at my repair shop, it's mainly caused by drops including by the previous owner, or in some cases by liquid damage.
