Absolutely, you should have not used an adhesive tape but silicone type glues. With a tape you are depriving phone of dust protection.

what is the device you use to remove the damaged lens? Are you using rubbing alcohol on the q-tip?

sad part is its none to fail and samsung wants over 100 to fix but you can buy the replacement lence on ebay for $6 shipped and if you do not care about the look of things can can buy just a camera glass screen protector and use that insted for $1 shiped. i my self tho would say pay the money get the new one thats looking like the orignal and be dune with it. and buy them in bulk for a discount since chances are you broke it once you will do it again.
