The Samsung Sound Tower MX-T40 provides sound made for parties. It has plenty of inputs to go along with built-in lighting that can be customized through the Samsung Sound Tower app. You can also stereo pair it with another MX-T40, do wireless group play with up to 10 total Sound Tower speakers, or hardwire even more to create a giant system of sound.

Thanks for posting this review. I got this speaker as a gift and was about to return it because I wasnt sure about the additional connections. Thanks to you im keeping it now, & it does sound great.

@@johnnyflores6072 I actually got 1 MX-T70. Used it on my NYE party in 1500sqft basement room. Sounded amazing. Very nice deep base. quite adequate, however now I just ordered 3 more, to be placed in 4 corners. Im also using with a denon Prime 4 DJ controller. Plan to hardwire 1, then daisy chain other 3. Hope it works out.

Ive got a pioneer ddj sb3 dj Controller. Will i be able to connect IT via cinch to one Sound tower but then also play the music on two (or more) more connected (Group play) Sound towers, wirelessly?

If you're looking for a model that can be used for karaoke, try this one from Sony: www.abt.com/Sony-Black-SRS-XP700-Bluetooth-Portable-Wireless-Speaker-SRSXP700/p/163810.html It does not come with a microphone in the box, but it does have a connection for one on the back, and the sound quality is very similar. @@jdawg988 the Charge 5 is really that under powered?... thought it was more than that. Doesn't have any bass really to speak of but it does get quite loud, my son wanted one so I bought him on last Christmas... well, at least it's 100% portable. Got my MX T40 about 6 months ago, my work speaker. Really don't hear any sound till lev 30 (like I said it's my speaker at work), but volume and over all sound is quite impressive especially for its price point.

@Charles Espinoza I believe the charge 5 is around 50 watts, the boombox 2 is only 80 watts ha ha but they manage to get a lot of sound out of them, bass on charge 5 is impressive for its little size and bass of boombox jbl is quite amazong

i need help. i bought this speaker in hope to play my album records for turntables but this speaker doesn't have a phono setting. im sadden and feel like i wasted my time and money. can someone help me? is there a way to play this thing for record players? and since im stuck with it i think i'll keep it because it sound pretty good on Bluetooth. i'll keep it for that reason. can anyone please help? i'll be waiting.

Use auxiliary jack. The wire have like a microphone plug just your headphone. and opposite end have R.C.A plug just on your old av/tv

@RommelAbella We found the MXT40 to be louder than the Partybox 110, but the MXT40 has been replaced with the MXST40B which we haven't had a chance to demo yet. We'll hopefully have a video on it for the new year.

@calvinospina7307 The power cord should sit firmly in the port on the back of the unit. It should take some effort to remove it when it's installed properly.

@omarabuyaman437 Not technically. You can use the group play mode and link several of them, but they won't create individual channels like a real surround setup would.

@Graxis1 You could plug your computer in though the 3.5mm Aux port or into the RCA input if your computer has an analog audio output. We would not suggest using bluetooth as you may experience some lag and the audio won't match up with the video on your monitor.

@abtelectronics can I use an RCA to 3.5 cable. I have seen where the 3.5 plugged into computer motherboard and the RCA end to a speaker. Since this tower has both, I figured the RCA connection would give better audio or it doesn't matter, except for Bluetooth with would end up with lag?

Блютуз беспрерывно работает? я в первый же день купил и если телефон в вырез непоставить, звук будет пропадать через каждую секунду, шляпа какая то млять с блютузом у неё...за 16 то к рублей, блютуз хуже чем у колонки за 500р со светофора.

@albertmerchant686 It's portable in the sense that it's small enough to take from one place to another fairly easily, but it does not have a battery built in so you'd need to connect it to a power source.
