Looks like Samsung used a cheap metal part that rusts under there. They should have used something that does t rust

Ha Ha Ha -- You call it thorough cleaning ???!!!!-- Neither you have opened & removed the inner drum neither cleaned outer drum from inside .Major dirt is between the two drums which you cannot clean until you remove both the drums out of the machine. For that , First of all you have to remove the nut which is showing in your video below the pulsator & next steps afterwards. This little wiping with a cloth will show zero effect on performance of your machine. This is not cleaning at all -- It is just like doing face wash ( Probably not even that ) when you need to take a full bath. Go & watch -- there are many more detailed videos on you tube on drum cleaning of washing machine. It will be eye opening for you.
