After a power loss caused by a storm, none of my HDMI inputs worked, screen stayed black. First solution (unplug TV for 10 minutes and connect one by one the HDMI devices) worked great for me! Thanks a lot.

Well I read the stuff here and elsewhere, tried alternative devices, tried a different cable ...... no progress. it's fixed now it matters what order you turn on the device and the TV. Changed that and all up and working!

@@Tomm.29 it seemed to matter whether the TV was waiting for me to turn on the mini PC- or the the mini PC was up and running before I switched the TV Chanel to the hdmi 2 - whatever, the TV setting that finds the PC output.

@@USAFmedicVET not positively no. But changing the order of starting up - first TV then mini pc - or mini pc then TV - seemed to do it. Never look a gift horse said I. After nearly an hour it suddenly worked.

The first time I got the error I followed the instructions until it indicated it was testing the HDMI cable then worked. Each time afterwards I did nothing but follow the screen prompts until it got to testing HHDMI cable and it then started working. (about six times now.)

i used to plug it into an old dvd player and turn it on then switch to xbox whenever this happened and it would work, and my mom threw it away and it happened again idk what to do.

In my case UE55MU6172 (manufactured 2017) it was a problem with HDMI setting of the TV. Go to the setting, external devices, and tick off HDMI UHD Color on the proper HDMI input. Then it works immediately!

The HDMI ports work as there are only 2 of them. The both recognize my Apple TV unit no problem but don't recognize the Xfinity X1 box. The X1 box used to work no problem but now it doesn't. So they work...but don't work??? BY the way Xfinity came out and replaced the box and showed me it worked on their monitor testing unit which it did so it's not a box issue....

SAMSUNG CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT When I bought my 4K, 3D un55hu8500 TV New Back in 2013, Apparently, I NEVER WOULD HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF VEWING ANYTHING "4K", Due to the small fact that I was Only Ever to Update my software to version "2400", & THAT ONLY Upgraded the hdmi ports From HDCP 1.0 to --> HDCP 1.3 ? So, My "4K TV I Paid" for, WAS NEVER ACTUALLY ABLE TO PLAY EXTERNAL 4K ANYTHING! ( Using ANY of the HDMI Ports ) 🤔* HOW Is There NO CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT 😳 Because of This Little Detail? ... And NOW, I can't even Buy a Evolution Upgrade One Connect Box ( bc its NOT BEEN AVAILABLE, Even on Samsung's Own Website! ) to get my TV to play the Content IT WAS ADVERTISED TO BE WHEN I BOUGHT IT? I have a Samsung 7100 series and I have a hdmi problem I'm using a H96 max streaming box with no issues from any of the three hdmi ports but if i plug in my fire stick I get the logo screen and then black screen and if I use the Nvidia shield i get a super large display but both fire stick and Nvidia shield work fine on my other 2 tv's any ideas
