I was never interested in the Samurai Jack show and only seen a glimpse of it on the television many years ago. But I still had to check the new game. And you know what? It's not bad at all. I don't like the combat in this game, but everything else was fun and it makes me want to check the cartoon. I'm gonna spend the next couple of days doing just that.
Shinobi are one of the most annoying enemies I've ever seen. They have a lot of health and constantly block and dodge your attacks. On Master of Masters difficulty, they also accompany some of the bosses... Aku is an exception - he summons them on all difficulties, except for Master of Masters. I think it's better that way - all these minions only make these boss battles more obnoxious.
I know there is a secret ending if you find all 50 collectibles, but no matter how much I looked, I couldn't find the last one.

It's kinda strange seeing him fight Scaramouche with his sword. I mean, that was a plot point in Season 5; his Katana was lost by then.

This is after season 5, well the last episode. Most of its the same but with little changes for example the daughters of aku survive in this version. Aku hits jack while he’s teleporting with ashi, in the final ep.

The game takes place after all of that, Jack already got his sword back sword and is just too through the same adventures again, plus is the only weapon in the game that doesn’t break so might as well use it the most xd

yeah I recomend watching the cartoon. Jack is really good at fighting and even when things are really bad he figures a way to beat the obstacle

With the combat having both swordplay and gunplay the way it does, the one it reminds me the most of is Blood Will Tell: Osamu Tezuka's Dororo.

Can I just say that I really appreciate the fact that you didn't just projectile spam your way through the fights and actually played the game? Also, i'm happy that playing this made you want to check out the show even if you didn't like the gameplay itself. I like the game myself but I can completely understand why a lot of other people wouldn't since it does have a lot of issues that shouldn't be there considering the history of the devs. Minions in boss fights is kind of Team Ninja's MO though, it's always been their solution to making boss fights harder and it was as crappy then as it is now except now you also have a character who's way less capable than Ryu is.

The main combo jack goes for is identical to the tengu dance sword combo you learn in nioh 2's 1st dlc. So cool.

Game is great. I love it BUT I find it infuriating when I’m trying to block only to get hit multiple times by an enemy far away. I also got more enemies in certain battles here....the evil spirit was insane. I got sooooooo many enemies all at once! I maxed out my Stats and still I die because of the damn consecutive hits I get while trying to block! I just mashed buttons and I won, after like 8 continues. What was you score after the mission? I’m assuming SSJ? I also feel the game is a little harsh in terms of grading you on how many items you use.....

I would've liked to see the Demonic Spirit from "Jack and the Haunted House", but maybe that would've been too difficult to animate. Pity we don't see the Ultra-Robots, even as regular enemies.

Gellot had explained in another comment that it’s apparently how it is in Master of Masters when compared to Master Samurai. I’ve played it myself & still going on Master Samurai Difficulty, but on Samurai Difficulty, I fought Aku while his Shinobi minions entered the room. Idk what it’s like on Master Samurai, but I imagine it’s gonna be a bit difficult with flying enemies.

Hearing John DiMaggio as the Scotsman always give me shivers: he's one of my favorite voice actor along with Ron perlman and Tim Curry. Even in 2024 i still hate Josephine (Grey DeLisle): for me bounty hunters are like hyenas always attacking for the booty and Josephine are so bitchy. Scaramouche is a real laughing stock but that's why i love that bad guy: he lack serious and that's make him more relatable.

By playing the game over & over again on higher difficulties. Start with easy first, then move upwards on the difficulty scale. Master of Masters is locked until you’ve beaten the game multiple times on higher difficulties.

Let me sum it up, every single death that can possibly happen Is canon with this Character, I am not gonna say how because its epic. But they left so ambiguos that fans can and IS officially canon to make deaths for him.
