I always wondered how this style was done because it simply looks amazing. Thanks for breaking it down and making it like super easy. I'm designing an invitation for work and I'm definitely giving this a shot in my design!

@TinSparrowStudio Cel-Vinyl (what he is using) is acrylic, not gouache.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! SOOO GOOD!!! Master artist! So much easier in Photoshop but its nice to see it done with paint. The 2x2 under the ruler is there so paint doesn't get under the ruler and look bad. try ruling a line with a paint brush, not easy, that's a very useful trick. Dura-lar is also a good choice in vinyl (doesn't crack) Gouache or acrylic can achieve the same look, acrylic is a more durable paint though, really all depends on the artist's preference.

I wonder what kind of paint he uses
@narkolator7 жыл бұрын
My guess is that it's cel vinyl paint. It's so thickly matte, but you can thin it with water to put it in an airbrush. My second guess is gouache paint, since it also dries matte.

Oh my god. What paints do you use?
@OldmansCC9 жыл бұрын
Arielle Coupe I'm pretty sure he's using just acrylic paint, but he's not mixing the colours.
@MONEYVAL98 жыл бұрын
+OldmansCC Not acrylic , Gouache , its perfect .

+MONEYVAL9 See, that's what I thought at the start, but I think I read somewhere that it's acrylics. I could be wrong of course.
