This is a playthrough using Seishiro Kuno in the PS1 game Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage. Read on below for more information...
Seishiro Kuno is a hidden playable character in the game. He has the special status of being the last and "hardest to unlock" unlockable character.
===== HOW TO UNLOCK KUNO =====
1) First, get all the other hidden characters unlocked.
2) Now ensure that you have completed Story Mode at least once with every character in the game.
===== ABOUT KUNO =====
This is basically an alternate version of the regular Seishiro, semi-armed with his father's second sword (the Kohoh) in which he took from Tohma after defeating him. Therefore this is the considered version of him after regular Shishiro's ending. He has a different costume, which is supposed to be his late father's coat.
His full name is translated as "The Ninth Ruler Seishiro", and his fighting style is called the Nine Rulers Ascension Art.
===== GAMEPLAY =====
Gameplay-wise he mostly wields his original sword, but he is able to switch into a dual-sword-wielding stance whereby he uses the other sword. When he is in this stance, he is quite restricted in movement due to not being able to jump or crouch... however the dual strikes strings you can get while in this stance is quite powerful and long ranged. He also has a different super and a different desperation move in this stance too.
===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====
---- The game is also known as "New Chapter of Samurai Spirits, Strange Tale of the Swordsman: Revival of the Blue and Red Blade".
===== ABOUT SS:WR =====
As part of one of the most respected fighting game franchises, this game could have been actually been good if they implemented better gameplay to it... instead, there's too much stopping and starting due to it's unique lifebar/round system, and the jumping is way overdone. The game is also kind of "bland" overall, and for the most part "suffers" from the Samurai Shodown "environmental-only" soundtracks (whether this is a good or a bad thing is up to you).
Aside from the above, the game does shine by having a large roster of characters and detailed story dialogues between them (when you're playing through Story Mode). There are also some good FMV cutscenes and solid endings which feature several images and plenty of dialogue for each character (the ones who have an ending that is). Haohmaru and Hanzo are the only familiar characters to return.
Perhaps one of the crimes of this game is not having Nakoruru as a playable character... instead she is just a story character in this one folks.
