SS3 had to be the most aesthetically beautiful installemnt of SS. Sadly it had some weird mechanics that didn't quite appeal to many, like the damages. I mean take that Amakusa's special move which sliced 2/3 of your healthbar. Zankuro also is sometimes weird.

Super Moves or I would call it Weapon Flipping Techniques of Bust Galford and Bust Nakoruru totally kickass. I began to notice that Bust Nakoruru's Super Moves is Rera's moves (that is few years later before Samurai Shodown 5).

Bust Ukyo's was my favorite in this game. I used Shizumaru and didn't like fighting him, but still admit that his looked cool. I just hate that they changed it for the worse in 4 and up. I really looks like they got lazy with the move and didn't feel like dealing with the delayed slash part (though they probably just wanted to speed things up).

Technically, RimRuRu Bust is different as it doesn't slide along the ground. She raises the same ice thingy and pushes it forward if memory serves... been a long time. :P

IIRC i haven't played this in years but the most devatating were Haohmaru bust and Galford bust because you could do them inside a combo.

Top 7 (Slash and Bust): Basara, Galford, Hanzo, Ukyo, Nakoruru, Hoahmaru and Genjuro. Top 6 "simple": Amakusa, Gaira, Rinururu, Shizumaru, Zankuro and Kyoshiro. I can wait for SS4, SS5 and SS Special (updated SS5). :)

Man this game could have been so great, but there's so much wrong with it, still looks and sounds great just a shame it plays like poo, if there is one game i would love to see remade it's this

HalfmanhalfTwig I thought this game played great I will never understand some fighting game fans...they always diss the best games and overrated the worst ones This game added the "get behind your opponent move" for that reason alone it's amazing

It's because they only know brawls like Street Fighter. This one had a bit of a learning curve if you wanted to get any good. I LOVE part 4, but this one is still my favorite. The diversity of characters with the solid combat system you had to actually focus with was GREAT. So many people from the arcade, play it like street fighter, and then wonder why I kept doing such high amount of damage with so few attacks :p

Molandria I'm not a fan of SS4...felt like a step backwards I mean SS3 has some balancing and some collision detection issues because it was rushed but the game itself overall plays fantastically

SS3 has combo loops and extended hitstun that makes some characters very broken after the first hit, so I understand the criticism there, but this felt a whole lot more responsive compared to 1&2. And the sprites and music and darker tone was incredible at the time. I think SSVSP fixes what was wrong with 3 while keeping the darker tone/atmosphere, although it started to resemble a Mugen game with the sprite edits

Win using any sort of Heavy or special slashing attack. Doing so on an enemy on the ground also makes them bleed out.

Nakoruru is the best character! Always! I have her pictures & fanarts on the walls and statues! For the Super moves Haohmaru is great!
