Vishak, Very true! Shobhana is so great, in deed! Revathy should stay in her "metoo" movement because that is a popular thing among young ladies I guess. Doesnt look good to appear with Shobhana, better be with Parvathy, and all her other friends who are eady to retire.

She is the best dancer ever in the south movie industry. Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam. Ws just watching one of her old movie Nari Nari Naduma Murari in Telugu, she looks almost same even today. I remember watching this movie in my 5th class that is 1990 or so, more than 30 years back. wow

ശോഭന 80കളിൽ എല്ലാം എല്ലാo ആയിരുന്നു.. സ്വപ്ന കാമുകി, ഭാര്യ, പെങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം എല്ലാം ആയിരുന്നു, ഒരു നടിക്കു വേണ്ട എല്ലാം ഒത്തു ചേർന്ന് വന്ന ഒരേ ഒരു നടി ആണ് ശോഭന, ഇന്നും നാടോടിക്കറ്റിൽ ശോഭന ലോക്കൽ ഫ്രെമിൽ നടന്നു വരുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ, oh my god ആ ഒരു ഫീൽ, ആ ഒരു perfection എല്ലാo എല്ലാം.. ആ ശോഭനയെ നമുക്ക് നഷ്ട്ടപെട്ടു, ആ നഷ്ട ബോധം എന്നെ വേട്ടയാടുന്നു 😔😔😔😔

For many Hindi audiences let me bring a little trivia about Shobhana. I am myself a Maharashtrian, but a die hard Shobhana fan. Shobhana and ofcourse Bhanupriya. Well Shobhana is the niece of yesteryear popular actor trio Padmini, Ragini and Lalita. She hails from the royal family of Travancore, actually she is the princess of Travancore if I am not wrong. With such finesse and conviction in dance, she is taking the legacy of her Aunts ahead. I am not sure, but Aditi Rao Hydari has a similar face of Shobhana, so I guess they are losely related to each other too.

ശോഭന വളരെ കഴിവുള്ള നടിയാണ്. ഇവിടെ ചിലരുടെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ ശോഭനയെക്കാൾ കഴിവുള്ള നടിയായി മഞ്ജു വാരിയറിനെ കാണുന്നു. അവർ ശോഭനയുടെ വീഡിയോസ് ഉള്ള എല്ലാ പോസ്റ്റിലും മഞ്ജു വാരിയറിന്റെ മഹത്വം പറഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നു. അത് കൊണ്ട് അവർക്കു എന്താന്ന് ഗുണം എന്ന് അറിയില്ല. ഒരു മാതിരി ഇന്പുളസിവെൻസ് . ഒരിക്കലും മഞ്ജു വാരിയറിനെയും ശോഭനയും തമ്മിൽ താരതമ്യ പെടുത്താൻ കഴിയില്ല . മഞ്ജു നല്ല നടിതെന്നെ . പക്ഷെ ശോഭനയെക്കാൾ വലിയ നടിയാണ് എന്ന് ഒരിക്കലും പറയാൻ പറ്റില്ല. ശോഭന ഒരു ലെജൻഡ് ആണ് . പിന്നെ ഒരു ഭാഷയുടെ കാര്യം മാത്രം പറഞ്ഞു അവരെ എല്ലായ്‌പോഴും ഡീഗ്രേഡ് ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റില്ല. ശോഭന 'ഡബ്‌സ്മാഷ്' ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ല ഇവിടെ നാഷണൽ അവാർഡ് കിട്ടിയത്. സെൻട്രൽ ജൂറി അത്രയ്ക്കും വിവരമില്ലാത്തവരെല്ല. ശോഭന ചെയ്ത കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ അവർക്കു മാത്രെമേ ചെയ്യാൻ സാധിക്കുകയുള്ളു. പിന്നെ നൃത്തത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ മഞ്ജു ശോഭനയുടെ അടുത്ത് വരാൻ പോലും പറ്റില്ല. ശോഭനേക്ക് നൃത്തത്തിൽ ലഭിച്ച അംഗീകാരങ്ങൾ തെന്നെ അതിനു കാരണം. നൃത്തത്തിൽ ശോഭന എവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു മഞ്ജു എവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു. ശോഭന നൃത്തത്തിൽ ഒരു ആചാര്യ ആണ്. മഞ്ജു നൃത്തത്തിൽ ഒരു ശിഷ്യ മാത്രമാണ്.

മലയാള സിനിമയുടെ സുവർണ്ണകാലം 1980 മുതൽ 1999 വരെയാണ് . ആ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ നല്ല കുറെ നായികമാർ ഉണ്ടായത്. അതിൽ ഉർവ്വശി , പാർവ്വതി, ശോഭന, രേവതി, സിത്താര,ഇവർ എല്ലാം ( പാർവ്വതി ഒഴികെ ) വ്യത്യസ്ഥമായ വേഷങ്ങൾ മലയാള സിനിമയിലും മറ്റ് ഇതര ഭാഷ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലും അഭിനയിച്ച് അവരുടെ കഴിവുകൾ പ്രേക്ഷകർ കണ്ട് അംഗീകരിച്ചതാണ്. ഒരിക്കലും , മജ്‌ഞു വാര്യർ നൃത്തത്തിലും, അഭിനയത്തിലും ഈ നടിമാരുടെ ഒപ്പം എത്തില്ല. ഇവർ മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ സജീവമായിരുന്ന കാലത്ത് സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയയും, ചാനലുകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു വെങ്കിൽ ഇതിലും കൂടുതൽ പബ്ലിസിറ്റി ലഭിക്കുമായിരുന്നു. മജ്‌ഞു വാര്യർ ദിലീപുമായി പിരിഞ്ഞപ്പോഴാണ് പ്രേക്ഷകരോട് അടുത്തത്. ചില ജൂവലറിയുടെ പരസ്യ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് തിരിച്ചു വന്നത്. എന്തായാലും ശോഭന ഒരു നല്ല വ്യക്തിത്വത്തിന്റെ ഉടമയാണ്.

From Apr 18 onwards , don't know why she is most liked actress of mine. May be due to naturality in acting, or may be her roll in every film I have seen was very beautiful, well performed, may be she never found in bad or too sexy out fits. , And of course her dancing skill is also an important component.
