I am not a medical student but I am a Hapkido master and teach my students about the effects of a strike to the side of the head. My explanation is very simple, keeping it to a blow to the side of the head can rupture the meningeal artery, which will lead to bleeding in the skull, putting pressure on the brain. If the pressure is not given medical attention or if the pressure is not relieved the person will die. I love the way to break this all down and explain it in detail. Question, is the anatomy different on the left side of the temple compared to the right side? I have been having ocular migraines with headaches, after TBI, (concussion 9 years ago or so) and it's been progressive, now my right leg and arm go numb. Dysautonomic symptoms with postural changes and weather changes most times. My left sinuses, jaw and temple seem to be mostly affected ongoing everyday. Pinch in my cervical neck too. After a full blown ocular and migraine, (I can sometimes prevent them) I am blunted, brain fog and my left temple will physically be sore the next day. Recent MRI showed some abnormal bifrontal temporal brain loss, some loss at the cerebellum too, I fell long-boarding skateboarding with a thin helmet (cracked) going fast downhill. Trying to find some answers and being tested currently, not looking to self diagnose or find a diagnoses on my own, just researching out some symptoms and trying to isolate and identify some of the symptoms I am experiencing and possible causes. Trying to understand, so again, is the anatomy of the arteries that run through the temples different compared to the left and right side of the human head/face. Thanks.
