Having recently fractured my maxillary left bone and zygomatic arch from a heavy blow to the face from a jammed power drill I have a newfound respect for the strength and weakness of the skull. The nervation of the upper teeth on that side have become numb from the damage. Hopefully eventually it will return. Our bodies are amazing in their ability to self heal fractures. Those nerves pass through an opening in the maxillary face and are called the buccal nerve branch. My fractures did not require surgery but needed stitches to close wound near eye socket. The skull structure is absolutely fascinating to me in it’s incredible complexity. The three dimensional C.T. Scan clearly showed the damage and I certainly felt it as well. First thing I noticed is my jaw and upper teeth were not lining up properly for completely closing. With in limits the skull seems to try to regain normal alignment during healing process.

is it possible to insert an observation instrument (rhinoscope or endoscope) into the frontal sinus(s) cavity accessing from the anterior nasal opening directly into the frontal sinus cavity, or is there a bone wall preventing direct access?

hey, just to put as a side on this video, the temporalis muscle inserts onto the coronoid process of the mandible not the masseter muscle. you pointed to the temporalis but called it the masseter. its around 19 minutes in.
