Nah, it’s by Samy Deluxe, not Kool Savas. But Samy is still Top 5 of Germany. And this track is definitely legendary as you say.

don`t think it`s worse though. It is just the nostalgia, I mean as if the past has been better. Remember Kosovo war, or bosnia? 6 Million without work in germany? IRA bombings in the UK, ETA in spain, Rwanda war.... the world wasn`t better or worse back in the days.

This song is from 2001, I've seen Samy live on stage in the very late 90s on a concert in my hometown Dortmund/Germany. He was amazing. He was obviously a bit tired from the lengthy car journey from Hamburg to Dortmund (he referred to that several times during the show), but nevertheless he delivered a perfect concert. Even between his songs, he rapped freestyle announcing his guests, the next song, gave short statements about stuff on the news back then....He basically stepped on stage, grabbed a mic and then rapped for about 70-80 minutes straight, with virtually no breaks. And he didn't miss one beat. This guy is most impressively talented as a rapper. I've been a rapper myself back then, I started rapping on stages in the early 90s. When I was at Samy's gig, I was in a rap crew and we had just recorded our first demo tape...and I was really mindblown by Samy's performance.

In Germany we now have a slightly different problem. People in the low-wage sector work 40 hours or more a week and sometimes receive just as much money as people who have never worked in their lives and receive money from the state. Work must be worthwhile again. Politicians complain that we have too few skilled workers in Germany, but we let anyone into the country and are surprised that in a few years the social security funds will no longer be able to pay the state pension.
