Thanks Matt. They are a pretty popular cigar & I actually smoked the last cigar from a 3 pack of tubos of these I had recently. I like the 50 ring gauge robusto format very much. They are usually reliable and constructed very well and you can’t go wrong having a box of these. In terms of aging them vs. smoking them, I have a few thoughts that I hope help to answer your question. My experience is that all cuban cigars benefit very much from about 2-3 years of aging-sometimes a bit more. However, I have had some exceptions to this with certain cigars that were very good much younger. The Series D No 4 happens to be one that I have enjoyed the most from boxes with about 2 years or more of age. Im pretty sure this robusto is widely known for developing more complex flavor over time (like many others). If you don’t mind the trial and error, I suggest starting now by trying one or two every six months or so to get a baseline idea of how they are developing and the overall experience. And of course if you really enjoy them at any interval feel free to smoke more than the one or two if not all. If you prefer waiting then I’d say around 1.5 or maybe 2 years post box date. When I smoke it I will be sure to give you my thoughts. I had anticipated aging them for quite some time, as they are not among my regular smokes, but gosh I am getting so impatient. @@HabanosChris unfortunately I could only get the box of 10. I have too many sticks in my humidor, and the size of my humidor is right because it limits how much I smoke haha! Will keep you posted.

good eye - in this case it was just rare & random luck of me opening so many boxes; it's not completely unheard of-what others too often call "cuba being cuba" or inconsistent quality control-but this box was authentic. thanks for noticing
