Comic Cons = Revenge of the Nerds which happens every year since somewhere in the 80s. It's a lot of fun even if you don't spend the money for the Convention. For those that want to experience the ambiance of fun for the first time.... Here's what I recommend: 1. Bring a camera.... Don't have one? Use your smartphone device. 2. Get to the Gaslamp District (Fifth Ave, San Diego) somewhere around 430pmish-5p on either a Thurs, Fri, and/or Sat. Strongly recommend to park far and take the trolley -especially on Fri and Sat. Expect to hangout along Fifth Ave between K Street and Market for a few hours 3. Politely ask the characters in costume aka "The Nerds" for photos, expressing to them a sense of sincere thanks and gratitude afterwards. Also, if you need something to eat: There are plenty of restaurants, dessert stops, bars along the street(s). Also notice that as the night approaches, the "spirits" show up from out of the restaurants and bars...The place feels a bit livelier at approximately 8pmish to 10pmish. Quite interestingly, rarely is anybody displaying negative behavior that warrants the attention of law enforcement. But it has happened. The emphasis is on fun and having a good time. And just like anywhere else on this planet, be mindful of yourself, aware of others and the overall environment and you should easily be fine.

Lived in Gaslamp for Decades watching Superman, Batman any Super hero pass out from the Heat walking around is confusing . Thought may it possible be this skin tight costume and mask? Weather must have sense of humor also look at weekend forecast!
