Here’s a side of ESD you probably haven’t seen. Similar to LA’s clean streets program, the city performs cleanup operations in select areas where homeless encampments are abandoned. Some areas in downtown are even cleaned this way weekly.
The City has at least a handful of these diesel units with no tippers and a special light bar dedicated to clean up duty. If you’re in the San Diego area and you want to catch one, there should be some at Christmas tree drop off sites this year.
