Huge respect to these owners who chose to maintain this treasure. So often people choose to deconstruct these beauties in favor of a homogenized look which is so opposed to what Mr. Eichler had intended. Great tour. Thank you for sharing.

Gina, well said. Deconstructed is the perfect term. My last two tours have been delightfully original. Stay tuned for one that was white washed. 😮

Just an observation about the washer and dryer shown in the home - Although these appliances are older, likely they were built to last. Necessary replacement in the near future shouldn’t be a given.

Awesome house and great job showing the features. Sorry to get "nerdy" on you but Eichler wasn't the architect or designer, but the builder. He hired various architects such as A. Quincy Jones to design the houses. I love that retractable roof if it's not too much trouble to open and close. Too bad these houses are so expensive. We live in a similar house in Houston. We love the bay area but we could never afford to own a mcm house there.

Jason, You are SO right! My bad. I will have to keep my language tighter. I am careful about that - but I misspoke in this one for sure. I need to say "Eichler Community" or "Eichler home" . Fortunately, the name travels with the house. Thank you so much for visiting and for the thoughtful comment.
