I've always really liked how the movie shows San and Ashitaka's relationship at the end. Up to that point they've embraced several times. And we even had San feed him and verbally defend him from the boars. I think it's realistic that San would live in the forest and Ashitaka with the humans. I believe they ended up together in the future. The way Ashitaka says, "Yakul and I will visit you whenever we can." Very positive. No ultimatums. Natural love growth.

San is a feral child I especially like because not only was she raised by wolves, but her chemistry with the male lead was very well done and subtle. I was talking about this movie with a friend over the weekend and while it did sting the inner romantic in me that those two don't stay together, I am TOTALLY cool with it in this instance since I got their feelings across throughout the film. Plus, San chosing to stay in the forest makes sense because that is her home, but like you said her interacts with the dude open her up just a little bit more. In the end, this is my friend's favorite movie by the studio and I can see why since it is what I love to call the one environmental movie that actually does its part better then anything else like it and San is best jungle girl which is a huge plus lol. I really enjoyed this video. Not surprised I would, I LOVE that masterpiece of a movie. And the theme of feral children is very interesting (even if the circumstances for these fortunately rare cases are usually quite sad). I'm glad you shone some light on it. Also I remember about a boy in Africa living among apes for years. He even developped a fair "fur" (lanugo hair in fact, which can happen with cachexia for example) which understandibly unsettled the people that found him even more. He learned to speak (or re-learned it) but could still sort-of "speak" with the apes after being re-integrated in societa. And he was beyond the age of four when he first got lost in wilderness. For the case of animals taking human infants in, always find it kind of "humbling" in a sense. Like these adoptions can happen between any kind of animals. Shows that humans are just the same as other animals in animal eyes. Another "humbling" fact, lots of what makes us as humans quite unique is not due to ourself alone, but to the human society we are integrated in. These unfortunate cases of "feral children" can show the extremes of how deprivations in (especially early) childhood when it comes to social interactions affects the development of the child for life. Makes me think even more about all the many children that may very well live in society, but are still pretty much neglected by their caregivers. But that's digressing I guess, but so saddening. Hyped for Made in Abyss! So I absolutely appreciate the idea that you have a look into a diversity of anime series and movies. There's lots of quality worth discussing out there.

With the case of genie I remember reading her story in my linguistics class and just being amazed what the effects of removing socializing and communication can cause in the long run. I'm also gonna give princess monoke another shot since it's one of the few ghibli movies I've literally only seen once.

I will say I truly enjoyed this movie I had never seen it. before until after I promise that I was going to I truly enjoyed the art style and the scenery it had in the movie. it was a beautiful story and in truth for its age it holds up to what it's trying to represent which I truly enjoyed it was also very fun and unique. nice work on your video it was a very fun video to make for my own channel as well.

What does everyone think of Howl's moving castle

It usually really tragic, ther wa a guy who i think as fairly abused home aas child and lived for years with wolve and helived but he was never able to fine peace becaus the press and ocial media always was cruel. And he fould in age a village to live in peace. An he even got by functional with oddjobs, just , its intersting how he could neve rreally trust or understand society as wolves , well a lot of human interaction is based on lies an pretending and social media. Its also a rare interview. Its sad. And he was the rare case funstioning in society.

I always thought all, even modern examples, of humans raised by animals was made up. Too bad such children could never interact with humans or be reintegrated ever again into human society. I think Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind also deals with nature and technology as well, at least the manga does, with also spirituality. Not sure about the anime movie version though.

The thing about San it's important to keep in mind is that she wasn't raised by wolves, but by *wolf spirits.* Her mother and siblings are larger, smarter, and can even speak to humans, so she was evidently taught language by them. She wears clothing, even if it doesn't match that of other humans, and she uses weapons and a mask. I wouldn't call her a feral child.

I love this movie but I still can never understand why her Sam’s birth name is the title of the movie. The movie is not about her backstory, which is lightly touched upon, and the plot is NOT at all about her reclaiming her title. So why not name it after our favorite prince or after the great forest that’s survival is at stake? Why her? She is important but she is not the focus point of the narrative, Ashitaka is. I also feel disappointed in that we don’t have a solid conclusion to the story. I feel like the ending was sequel bait.
