I agree. One of the greatest and most criminally overooked male singers of the last 5 decades. Not afraid to say it, to me he's UP THERE with the likes of Ruffin, Pendergrass, Edwards, Vandross, Green. And it's true: it's all stunningly there. Still.

I don't know if he ever got the full credit for his singing ability. He has a classic, soulful, voice reminiscent of Al Green and other legends.

In the late 80's when this came out I was commuting between Brighton and London to work as a trader in the city. I had this album on my Sony walkman everyday for a month fighting my way through the rush hours. It's one of the best albums ever.

Love this band. 2 new players (guitar bass and organ). They were off a bit, but the Miestro got them back on track. I couldn't hate Sananda Maitreya and band if you paid me. I am a loyal, die-hard fan. Will be with him to the end. Sananda, carry on babe.............

Euh non non, même Prince qui était un génie était derrière MJ, TTDA a bien vu la lumière, mais très furtivement, enfin, il a certes 3 tubes ultra solides, mais il s'est employé à se saborder tout seul, MJ est au-dessus de tous.

@RogerBiwandu Nope...Prince wrote ALL of his own work and was a multi-instrumentalist, he played Guitar, bass, drums and keyboards on many of his own recordings, he also produced and arranged his own work...and probably also had the edge on MJ as a dancer too, there is no comparison... just my opinion of course

@@thebouncinghearts I said that Prince was genius, he did it all, that's why there is some crapy stuff in his catalogue ? MJ had Rod Temperton for writing hits, Stevie Wonder, and so on... And legendary session player as Porcaro, Louis Johnson, and so on... Well, I'm not shitting on Prince and TTDA, but MJ was above, I don't care his abilities to play all instruments.

Nothing to do with Prince 🤡boy….. he was an artist in his own right who did his own thing….. but the ‘Music Biz’ wanted him to ‘rinse and repeat’ his big selling pop album, which is something he didn’t want to do…. Hence the name change and fame dodging
