Expressive writing for the voice of the viola and the piano blend made this a masterful composition. The performance brought all of this out and I am sure that this has done the composer's heart good and he is beaming from ear to ear.

It was originally written, I believe in 2008, for violist Beverly Baker and it is meant to evoke memories of Hailstork 's time as a chorister at the Cathedral of All Saints in Albany, New York.
