Sanda vs Taekwondo martial arts showdown

Sanda and Taekwondo are martial arts disciplines which each have origins in East Asia and involve kicking, punching and taking opponents down. However, they are quite different techniques. Post reporter Erika Na spent a day learning Sanda with Hong Kong Wushu athlete Sunny Cheung Yat-lam and got a Taekwondo demonstration from master No Rae to discover first-hand how the disciplines compare.

As someone who's done TKD as a kid, boxing in college, Muay Thai and Sanda as an adult, I agree that in martial arts - respect and passion are crucial. Thank you for a wonderful piece.

American MMA is the best there is. Everyone knows that. But I like this whole sanda thing. Looks like it'll actually work.

@@LanguorousEngineer mma is every form of martial arts combined. The godfather of it is Bruce Lee AKA Lee June Fan. The term was created by one of the first referees of the UFC which coined it MMA mix martial arts. It's the only fighting style that is created specifically for actual combat and used in such case be at sport or otherwise.

Look at this. 2 copycats fighting each other. Taekwando - Karate copy. Sanda - Muay Thai/Kickboxing Copy. No wonder why Japan and Thailand dominates the Asian Martial Art scenes nowaday.

County officials across China misappropriated at least 2.2 billion yuan (US$302.7 million) in meal subsidies meant for rural students between 2021 and 2023, a State Council audit report found.
