Our Crisis of knowledge stems from the fact that muslims and especially our top scholars have abandoned the Quran! They would rather quote, all day long, from man-made hadith. In addition those that do quote and elaborate from the Quran, commit a manifest error. They entertain "mutashabiat" verses as litteral, when in fact they are allegorical in nature. Allah swt has given us a beautiiful lock and key verse in Surah Al Imran 3: 5-7 that emphasises the two types of language in the Quran. But still there are many that accept blindly that allegorical verses are factual! Ilm, true knowledge can be gleamed from the Quran but it first takes the emptying on the mind and the abandonment of forefather teaching, to be able to arrive at the truth. Jzk.
