We've spent lots of time at Sandals and Beaches Resorts all across the Caribbean. The original location in Montego Bay is one of our favorites. This video highlights 5 reasons why this is a top pick for a beach getaway for us and a peculiar detail you need to know before you go!

Hi. Thanks for the video. We're going to Sandals Montego Bay for the first time (first vacation like this ever!) in January 2024. Any advice for us newbies to make sure we don't miss out of anything? Thanks in advance for any insights or tips you may have!

This is so exciting! I hope you love it as much as we do. Tip #1: pack your swimsuit and flip flops in your carry on. When you get to the resort you can change and go hang out by the pool if your room isn’t ready yet. Tip #2: the best location to watch the sunset is Latitudes over water bar. Gorgeous!

What was the water condition like at the beach? Looks a little choppy here, was it calm overall?

Easily swimmable. There is some surf, but nothing that would keep you from getting in the water. We filmed this in early July and the water temperature was perfect!

Can two women go as a couple? My wife and I want to take two friends with us who aren't a couple but they'd really like to go here.

Christen and one of our adult daughters actually stayed at a Sandals a few years ago in the same room and we saw several same sex couples while we were there for this trip. As long as the 2 are adults I don't think they would run in to an issue.
