The promo cards are 1 balloon card of each suit with different art. They don’t affect gameplay.

During the hand played starting at 5:16, does Orange remain the trump for that round then change to blue at the end?

You only assess the trump status after the entire trick has been played, in this scenario BLUE would be the new trump by the end of this particular trick.

@@BeforeYouPlayI believe this is incorrect. The rulebook states that you re-evaluate trump before deciding who wins each trick. They give an example also that supports this.

@@ourfamilytogether Sorry, made an error in my response earlier. In the example, BLUE would technically be the trump at the end of the trick. Since no one played a BLUE, the 10 ORANGE would win the trick. Had a player played a BLUE they would be playing a trump suit (and win the trick). I've edited my response comment to clean it up. Thanks for chiming in, sorry for any confusion.

Hi there, since we were commissioned to teach the game we refrain from review-like opinionated language. We will say that you should probably enjoy the "trick-taking" games as that is the primary mechanism in this one.
