While it doesn't have the boardwalk and attractions that the popular oceanfront area has, Sandbridge does have beautiful beaches with some fun recreation options. Sandbridge really is a great area that all the locals enjoy but most visitors don't know about - unless they happen to rent a beach house in the area. Beautiful beaches with less than half as many people as the main tourist area by the Virginia Beach boardwalk. Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave such a kind comment!

Very informative video and produced to perfection. The beach looked nice and relaxing. The picnic areas, pier and the playground were nice touches to this place. The restaurant you visited also looked really good. I hope we have another beach trip at some point this year.

That beach most definitely is the highlight of Virginia! Food looked great, fish and chips with brocolli hits the spot! Now I gotta try that chocolate peanut butter pie!

It is a lovely beach with not too many tourists in this area like there are just a couple miles to the north. That peanut butter pie was amazing! Our entrees were good. But that pie was the best. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

Yeah, for a Saturday in July, that beach didn't have many people at all the day we visited. It is nice to get away from the crowds of the more touristy area sometime. That pie was great. We are already making plans to return for more the next time we go to Virginia Beach to visit Jack's family. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

This beach looks pretty fun! What a hidden gem of the outer banks. Bit thanks to you guys, no longer a secret. The souvenir shop would be Addie and Rosalie’s favorite. $5 parking. Last night I saw Joe Rogan in Chicago and it was $55. Oh man, not that busy at all! The food looked pretty good. Thanks for taking us around.

When I seen Outer Banks I was a bit confused to see Virginia. Looks beautiful. I'm always about beaches and water. Of course any tourist trap town has great shops with loads af souvenirs. It's always a lot of fun checking out local merch. Gary has been trying to talk us into Virginia for years but I'm so obsessed with Florida and have a hard time straying.

Great video! Beautiful beach. As always, this video is very informative and well thought out. The beach did not look crowded for a Saturday. The food looked good at Margie & Ray's. We will definitely have to try it out on our next visit.

What a lovely beach area! Nice to have a beach area with less tourists than other places too. Looks like the little market has those nice quick little things someone may need if they are at a beach house nearby. Looks like there's a nice picnic area in that park. The beach doesn't look too crowded at all for a Saturday in the summer time. Nice to have a more peaceful area to enjoy the peace! I would love to kayak in the bay, how fun! The fried shrimp look good, I've never had hushpuppies before. Would love to try those someday. My husband would be all about that fish n chips. Looks like a decent meal. I would love that chocolate peanut butter pie too! Yum! Awesome video as always! Thanks for bringing us along :)

The beach looks very nice and love seeing things to do on the east coast. Beach parking can be frustrating, we stopped going to to the beach at Lake Tahoe because of the crowds.

Parking is the most frustrating part of beaches usually. We like to go off season in the cooler temperatures when there are a lot less crowds. But then the water is too cold to get in. It is still beautiful to look at though. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Love coming along with you and seeing places we’ve never been before. We haven’t spent any time at all in Virginia/outer banks area. Parking sure can be a challenge sometimes near the beaches!

We just got back from VA beach and loved it. Wish we would have had more time to spend there. Great informative video. I noticed you guys are going north up the east coast. Any plans to stop on the Eastern shore?

Chocolate peanut butter pie is Jack's favorite dessert ever - and I like it a lot too, just not as much as him. I am trying to find a good recipe to make one for him for his birthday this year. The pie at that restaurant was delicious!

We’ve been talking about doing a family trip and get a Vrbo there. Looks like Sandbridge might be the area for us. It seems a little quieter and less touristy.

It would be a really nice place for a family trip! Very laid back. And you would love the wildlife refuge and the parks that are at the south end of Sandbridge. Lots of good hiking and biking trails. And if you got in the mood to go see some of the touristy area - it is only a few miles up the shore. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

We went to Sandbridge in late May this year. The wind was a little too strong to be able to enjoy the beach properly.... so, we went back in July. "Idyllic" doesn't even do it justice. It's not the tourist trap its elder sibling to the north is, and that's just how the locals like it. We will definitely be going back there repeatedly in the future.

Even though my name is Virginia, I've only been to the area around DC and I really need to explore Virginia, especially Virginia Beach. This beach looks lovely and those houses would be amazing to rent! It has a very laid-back feel. A seafood restaurant after some beach time sounds so good...and I can never resist She Crab Soup. YUM. The food looked great and my mouth watered at chocolate peanut butter pie! What a great place.

We absolutely LOVE Virginia Beach! We have a timeshare there and go almost every year. Love the area and the drive looking at the houses. Sandridge is a nice area as well. We just love beaches in general. Is there such a thing as a bad beach? We think not 😂

Virginia Beach is a great beach destination. This less crowded area is a great gem that some visitors don't know anything about. Those beach houses are beautiful. We usually stay with family since Jack's relatives still live in the area. But we are discussing renting one of those beach houses some time for a trip. It would be lovely! Sandbridge is way better than the OBX. I have stayed at both places many times. OBX is just way too crowded and touristy. Sandbridge is my fav Atlantic coast beach. I have been from Cape Cod to Florida. I highly recommend Sandbridge.

We fought those 2 Condo buildings to the bitter end. It's ruined the skyline and the feel of Sandbridge.

If you hate crowds and people in general??? Stay in sandbridge. VA Beach is only 20 mins or so up the road if ya miss the crowds and annoying assholes.
