Full verdict: Jury reaches verdict in Ali Abulaban double murder trial

Күн бұрын

After a little more than one day of deliberations, a San Diego jury found Ali Abulaban guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.
The jury found Abulaban, a former social media personality, killed his wife Ana, and her friend, Ray Barron with malice.
Because Abulaban admitted to the killings, the jury was given the task of deciding whether Abulaban was guilty of first-degree, second-degree, or manslaughter when he entered his estranged wife's high-rise apartment and shot her and Barron while the two were on the couch.
"First-degree murder is an intent to kill with malice aforethought. So, you want to kill and you have an evil intent in your mind. Second-degree murder is killing somebody, intending to do so with malice, not premeditated. Voluntary manslaughter is killing someone in the heat of passion," explained criminal defense attorney Gretchen Von Helms.

Yeah +1. I watched a bunch of the cross and saw an authenticity. Via ChatGPT, for manslaughter (crime of passion) the key points are... Provocation: The defendant must have been provoked. Heat of Passion: The provocation must have been such that it would cause a reasonable person to act rashly, without due deliberation, and from passion rather than judgment. No Cooling Off Period: There must not have been a sufficient cooling off period between the provocation and the killing for the person to regain their composure.

He wasn't "provoked" by anyone. He installed an app on his daughter's iPad so he could listen in on what was happening in his estranged wife's apartment, which is a massive invasion of privacy. Through HIS OWN ACTIONS, he heard a man's voice. He then decided to grab his gun, get in his car, drive to her apartment and kill her and her friend. He had time to think about what he wanted to do, which is why this was no where near being a crime of passion. You learn something new everyday, right?

He wasn't trying for an acquittal, he admitted he murdered them. He argued that it was not premeditated.

@@FathomlessJoy Yes but they (he and his dumb dumb attorneys) assumed he’d get a manslaughter charge. Not murder 1, not murder 2, but manslaughter. That would put him at like 10-12 years in prison - probably 6-8 with good behavior, and he’s already been serving time so that would factor in to the small amount of time he would have actually gotten on a MS charge. I fully believe he and his lawyers convinced themselves that he’d be out in a short couple of years. Delusional, but satisfying to watch his world crumble and for the attorneys who blamed Ana for her abuse and murder to know they had literally zero people on their side and they just look like scum balls now.

The way that killer looked at the family members of the ones he murdered when they cheered😮😮😮😮 He was mad.....mfker has no right to be mad at them. He probably thinks in his mind the murders were justified. 5 years from now he'll regret killing them....not because he's sorry but because he realizes he will never see freedom again!!! He was abusive.

You must be one of those entitled Caucasian from the caucus mountain caves. What's your crazy friend::: Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, was an American serial killer and sex offender who killed and dismembered

@@nio7303 It's the statistics that make all the difference. In Sweden there were crimes but in SMALL numbers. When it became "culturally enriched" the crime rate skyrocketed. No one said that we don't have local crime, we say that imported crime is way higher especially against women (femicides, grapes) Speaking about caucasians from caucasus mountains, we have the Boston marathon bombers. I hope you do remember that they were jihadis. Despite their small numbers, they commit way more crimes. Arguable they don't commit 100% of the crimes, but they hit well above their weight. .
