A new proposed bill working its way through Sacramento could make it easier for undocumented immigrants to purchase a home in California.
AB 1840 adds specific wording about immigration status to the "California Dream For All” program, which is the state’s down payment assistance program. It says applicants should not be disqualified based on their immigration status.

You do realize they’re not getting the home for free? If you can’t afford a home it’s a because 1 the home is too expensive or 2 you don’t make enough money. What makes you think they are in a different boat? The only thing that was stated in this bill was giving an opportunity to a non citizen to own property, however any money involved is not the governments problem, the Mexican still has to pay it back.

TIN number which you use to pay taxes, this gives you one single benefit and that is making the process easier to become a resident. No you do not receive food stamps, no you don’t get a tax break if you have kids and no you don’t have any rights that a citizen has.

I was born here in the u.s., and have worked all my adult life and when i tried to get into one of the new homes being built here in town, i was told i dont qualify. 3 weeks later, the same house i was hoping to get into was full of people. Like 12 people. 2 families living in that house, carnival music, live mariachi band till 3am, cars packed in the street, and none of em speak english, none of them legal citizens, driving big 2024 king ranch pick ups. I dont understand how this is happening.

I'm a medical student and I had to foot my own bill towards school and personal expenses in addition to taking out loans and I wanted to return to California, but we don't get an option on where we end up for residency. On top of that if I was able to get residency in California, there's no way I could buy a house. Why is our government enabling these entitled and ungrateful ppl that broke the law to settle wherever they want and get everything subsidized?

The guy who proposed this is Arambula, D-Fresno, introduced AB 1840, which would allow “undocumented persons” eligibility for the California Dream for All Program - administered by the California Home Financing Agency - which provides first-time homebuyers help with a down payment. And yes he is the same guy: "Arambula was arrested on December 10, 2018, on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child, a misdemeanor under California domestic violence statutes."-(wikipedia) Californians, please watch out who you vote for in the future. The liberal elite does not have the best interest of the American citizens, haven't you learned that after these last 3 horrible years under Joe. Do your research. There are only TWO real criteria for getting into America LEGALLY. 1. No criminal record, and 2. have a skill that is not abundant in America. That's it. Which means anyone else coming over ILLEGALLY either is a criminal in their home country, or provides no useful skill sets. Yet the Governor wants these people to be our neighbors.
