By tripod compatible, the Film Rig 2.0 has a 1/4" standard mount for tripods. The screw knobs can be fully detachable.

@@Sandmarc OK so 1/4" 20 thread is marketed as tripod compatible nowadays. Would have been good if it had arca Swiss built in to the base so you didn't have to attach anything, as well as 1/4" 20.

Maybe the average iPhone user is not their target market. If they’re doing their job they aren’t creating products that they haven’t done thorough market research for ahead of time to ensure the product solves a real need for professional or amateur videographers.

True, Gila. Roger, if you don't need/want such a rig than don't buy one. For many of us, we need to add an external SSD/card, light, microphone, etc. Sandmarc is just providing a product to fill that gap. And sometimes I don't use my full rig, so I only assemble the parts I need. For another product that should fit Roger's needs, check out the Tyler Stalman clamp by Kondor Blue. It has a minimalist build that fits in a pocket; one can also make more complex builds.

@@BugBobsWildWorld I want all that as well. but I want portability. And there is a much simpler way to have without bulking up everything. To get a rig like this, just get a proper camera.
