something I did not see mentioned in this series: when you change clothes in the locker room, you lock it and pin the key to your clothes. odd, considering everyone in attendance has been through an interview/recommend process and there should be no thieves in the temple.

Thank you for going into detail about the green apron. The majority of mormons are unaware of what that is. Also, in the nominal Christian community, they too are unaware that the leaves that Adam & Eve put on themselves is not clothing. They did this because they knew they had sinned and did their best to cover themselves. When there is sin, there must be a sacrifice of life for redemption of that sin. And that is what God did, He sacrificed an animal. He then used the skins of the animal to cover Adam & Eve. That is when they were actually clothed, not by their leaves. Thank you and God Bless.

I went through in 2002. That touching under the shield was very uncomfortable. Luckily it was a very light touch on my side. But that wasn't explained to me, and I was only 20.

The distribution centers are outside the Temple since a Temple recommend is not needed to enter that area. There are other cash registers inside the Temples, around where the rental clothing is cleaned, that take payment for clothing rentals as the interviewer said. I find it very strange how much commercial activity goes on in the Mormon Temples. A person could easily spend $500 to receive their Endowments. This reminds me of the money changers that Jesus Christ drove out of the Temple.

Temple activity is not based on the Old Testament. In OT days, a Levitical priesthood holder (Aaronic Priesthood) had the right to officiate as the High Priest in the Temple. But in Mormon Church, JS said he restored Temple rituals by revelation, ending up with Melchizedek Priest holders officiating in the Temple ceremonies, and having Aaronic priesthood holders limited to only be baptised in proxy rituals, not officiating. I've posed this issue but nobody has been able to give me an answer.

Two-piece garments were introduced in late 1979. I started my mission in January 1980, and had already opened all of my brand-new ONESIES. Just using the restroom was an adventure for newbies.

The reason why wearing the green fig leaf apron in the ritual does not make sense is because Joseph Smith took the apron symbol from Masonry not from Genesis. Masons are proud to wear their aprons like Mormons are proud to wear theirs. Of course Joseph Smith had to spin the apron symbol and make it seem like it was Biblical. This is why so many parts of Mormonism do not fit together. They are taken from various sources and were developed over time with many after thoughts and corrections.

Some satanists & occult people go thru the Mormon temple. They say they can have powerful spiritual experiences there. The square & the compass= masonic builders tools. The same used to build the tower of Babel. The same concept to build your own righteousness before the Lords.

About baptisim of the dead-- How does one go about getting names off the Mormon registry? Our family has been Lutheran since Luther started preaching, but now I found out that the family genealogy is the exclusive property of the Mormon church. I sent this to a person who had contacted me about family history, I had no intention of him miss useing it to baptize all the people on it as Mormons . these people were all Lutheran I need to know how to get them 'unbapatised' as Mormons. What the guy did is theft.

People always want to be more than others: they're willing to pay big dollars for purchasing Apple, Nike, etc--whatever that place them ABOVE others. JS et al new this very well, and placed the Temple as the top of the ladder for any faithful Mormon, which would be willing to sacrifice money, time, and family with the hope of reaching a place ABOVE all others (e.g., Celestial Kingdom). Mormon Temples are the perfect product to sell to those ambitious and pretentious, who are so often followed.

A couple years ago, cash registers where inside Temples in Latin America at least. There you paid for your rental clothes. Always I've felt uncomfortable with this. After all, if you got a Temple recommendation, you've paid your tithings, and clothing--if needed -- should be free. Later I learned when visiting US Temples, that there clothing was lend for free. I felt that very unfair, as countries like Chile & Argentina are poor, and members don't receive a tax credit for their tithings.

I think it's hysterical that there these temples that are considered the holiest places on earth, and only the most pure Mormons can go in them, but then when you change into your temple garments you put your street clothes into a locker and lock them up. What are they afraid of? That one of their pure members in this holiest of places would steal something? It says a lot about their beliefs.

To prevent non-Jews from profaning the Temple, and Jews from entering the Holy of Holies. Since Jews didn't change into special clothes in order to enter the Temple, there was no concern about theft. But there appears to be such concern in Mormon temples, and I find that funny.

The Mormons who wear their garments and green apron from the temple rituals aren't covered by the blood of Christ. They're covered by their own righteousness which is as filthy rags in God's sight according to the book of Jeremiah. Course they don't believe in Jesus as their Savior as they're their own savior, and the savior of their dead ancestors............ Why doesn't anyone mention that the Bible no where has an Aaronic priesthood? It's the Levitical priesthood.......

The most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands. (Acts 7:48) The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. (Acts 17:24) Jesus said something greater than the temple is here. (Matthew 12:6)

Just FYI, I've toured two temples (Nauvoo and Kansas City), and both had separate locker rooms for baptisms and for the other ceremonies. The baptismal font would always have doors on the same ground level labeled "Brethren's Locker Room" and "Sisters' Locker Room," and then we would go up one or two stories and be escorted to another locker room that was near the chapel of the temple where the Endowments and Sealings started out.

The top of the baptismal font in the Temple is ALWAYS at ground level. This is an important aspect of the ritual for Mormons since Mormons believe that baptism symbolizes the death and rebirth of a person as a new being in Christ. Ground level is even marked on the fonts in the Temple. Also the baptismal fonts in the Temples are large and sit on top of 12 oxen representing the 12 tribes of Israel. For this reason the baptismal rooms in Temples are half above and half below ground level.

Jesus abolished the work of the priesthood, we no longer perform rituals of sacrifice, nor build monuments full of sacriment. I searched through all of the words in RED, in my Bible, and never found Jesus saying : "Take the tithe money and build a giant theater with an enormous steeplehouse, then take the tithe money and equip it with amps, pa's, stages, lighting, curtains, the works." Nope...That is bad ok. And why decorate it with purple......scarlet....evil A message for all of us........

Are you sure you are LDS? A qualified Mormon is a Mormon with a temple reccomend. The reccomend is available to a person who has been a member for at least a year, pays their tithing, and correctly answers questions about their personal life, such as whether they live the Word of Wisdom, doesn't masturbate, etc. Sandra Tanner's background is extensively available. She started looking at the official history of the LDS church and realized it isn't authentic.

What percentage of the total Mormon membership have the "temple recommend". The LDS organization claims about 16 million members now, so would, say five million have the document? Does an adult's document mean he/she can take children into the temple? Or are only adults allowed in the temple? If so, from what age please? Thank you.

My grandma was sealed in the temple to her first husband while she was married to her third husband. Why would they allow this? I know she was pressured by my aunt and uncle who thought she was going to die soon when they did it.

At around 18:00, there is a question about whether or not modern mormons would understand the symbolism of the markings on the garments (the special underwear). Although I am not a member of the LDS church now, my last session through the temple was only a few years ago and it was explained then and every time prior, what the meaning of the markings is.

The endowment representation of the creation has some deep inconsistencies: For instance, Peter James and John descend and greet Adam (handshake) being spirits (eg., they haven't been born yet), which is contrary to the teachings of pre-existence that the Mormon Church teaches. Also, Satan stands up in front of God the Father and his son Jesus-Christ, which according to Mormonism, belong to different glory states, which are not compatible and not able to be at the same place at the same time...

Exodus 28:5, Exodus 40:12-15. The reason why Temples in the latter days do not perform sacrifices as the time of the Savior, is because now, we have to sacrifice and give our hearts to God. And the Savior ended the sacrifices by blood.

The Holy Ghost testify of the truth. Webb sites and such don't!! I prefer to rely heavily on the Spirit of Christ. He is the true source of all righteousness and truth. I trust my GOD, He did promise to reveal the truth through the Holy Ghost. Any other source is questionable. And I refuse to listen to man, who is full of darkness and prejudice towards the things of the Spirit. The things of the Spirit are only understood by the same Spirit. The things of God are foolishness for man. Isn't the same Spirit of truth bore testimony of the Living Christ to Peter!? And the same Spirit bore the same testimony to me!

I think that is weird, too. I've assisted hundred times, and always noticed that detail. It never happened to me, but I know cases when people have been robbed even with the locker locked (ie., Bs. Aires Temple and Santiago Temple). Most of the people who attend Temple is very honest, though. But always a con person may manage to make his way up to the temple, or to the top, according to my experience...

there will be no Temple in heaven since God is the Temple, and Jesus Christ is our High Priest in the order of Melchizedek, the Levites in the OT times were the only ones allowed to do the Priestly duties, and the Levites were given no "inheritence" because God is to be their inheritence

True but LDS church covers a broad spectrum of membership, some of which are practicing witchcraft & satanism. Its not impossible to go & get a T.recommend under false pretense. Though my previous comment did sort of make it sound like they were just coming in off the street. I can see the draw the temple would have for the Satanist as the spirits that operate there are very familiar to them
