In the databook , it has been said that , even demons are scared of Sanemi because he is too brutal . He has honed his wind style to another level , that it hurts even more when you get sliced by Sanemi and they would prefer to be killed by anyone but Sanemi.

Still tho, at THIS point, yeah Tanjiro was able to land a blow, BUT if you pay attention, it had ZERO effect on Sanemi 😂 The pause He took was one of shock, yet again, that Tanjiro actually landed a HIT on Him lol Once that happened tho, Sanemi took it as an "Open Season" on Tanjiro lol 🤷

Yeah ,even i believe that Sanemi would prefer a blind genya than a dead genya ,who wont stop going after demons . Also i believe that , he wants genya to hate him , because all hashira believes they will die fighting demons one day , and sanemi doesnt want genya to go after revenge for him, just like shinobu is doing , for her older sister.

So they explained this last season, but it's explained better in the manga. Genya has the ability to temporarily turn into a demon and gain passive regen by consuming demons. His strength and regen get better the stronger the demon he eats. He has special digestive organs and jaw strength that allow for the transformation. In the demon slayer world, this is a rare ability you have to be born with to allow for this. While never outright said, I've always interpreted this ability as a rare genetic mutation. Demons have been around for over 1000 years, so it makes sense that the human body would try to adapt to demons.

It's such a shame that Mitsuri only got one scene in this episode. I was expecting there to be more scenes with her because she's my favorite Hashira and character in Demon Slayer.

3 Hashira in 1 ep, which they don't have much story about training with those Hashira to tell. But the last (4th) Hashira training will have 2 eps about him.

"Just a wooden sword." Miyamoto Mushashi, a samurai known for being the best duelist of his era was late to a duel on an island, forgot his sword, took one of the oars and carved it into a bokken and beat his opponent (who had a real metal sharp sword) to *death* with it. So yeah, they might not cut you, but they're still super dangerous.

It was the duel with the Demon of the Western Provinces. The Demon was known to have an extra long blade which gave him advantages in quick duels. Musashi figured this out and made his oar slightly longer, thus taking the Demon’s advantage away. Musashi was so late that the Demon threw his sheath away before the duel, and Musashi replied, “If you discard your sheath, you’ve already lost.” And then the rest ended in a single strike to the Demon’s head.
