The guy playing Officer Swanny has played memorable characters on a lot of shows; especially on Hogan's Heroes. Talented actors like him are far and few in between today.

Im pretty sure this was the pilot episode of Sanford and Son. I have only ever seen this show in syndication. It ran before my time but still to this day, this is the funniest skit I have ever seen in any sitcom. I laugh my ass off every time I see it

Fred and Lamont could have told these officers about the copper in the truck and it would have been alright,they wood have arrested them,just would have asked who sold it to them.

There's no woke here, like the bs we have today. This is just pure funny. I grew up with this show and still watch the reruns. Smitty translates for both. Sanford and Son sits at the round table of the greatest TV comedies of all time
