I love hearing stories about Sanguinius, he is sorely missed in the 41st Millennium.

Of all the Primarchs could there be a more angelic symbol of hope than the Lord of the Ninth? Even Gulliman would weep tears of joy and feel his hearts fly at the sight of a returned Sanguinius.

I never actually imagined the Emperor being alive. Actually fighting literal evil every second, every moment while he slowly decays away. That man, as many faults he has, as many mistakes he did, is just the greatest there is.

I think that 40k could still go on with the Emperor's return. There is too much that needs to be dealt with and even with his return it would take thousands of years to fix the Imperium and face the many enemies of the Imperium.

I'm okay with Dante dying. Space Marines do not die of old age and he has lived longer than any Astarte before him has ever survived not including Dreadnoughts. Dante is tired, his rest is deserved. But he will fight to the end for the Emperor.

Sanguinius’ visions remind me of this quote from Dune: The vision of time is broad, but when you pass through it, time becomes a narrow door.

In my view, it is inevitable that chaos fights the tyranids. They hate everything they stand for, and even though they’re weak against them, they don’t have much of a choice. If the tytranids eat the galaxy, the gods would be far weaker.

I’d like to imagine Big Bobby G having read Sanguinius’ scrolls and going through them like a checklist to make sure none of the prophecies come true.

The Dante novel was full of good lore tidbits. The Star Child theory is dumb, but the Emperor is returning, maybe Russ finds the Tree of Life. Unrecognized armor, mask of Sanguinius, definitely one of his sons, it IS DANTE. The Nids have to fight Chaos, it is mandatory, the two have the same goal. I don't want to see a Dante demise, but it would be right for him: nobility, sacrifice, duty, love for his Emperor, Imperium, and the citizenry of the Imperium are his trademarks.

Eldrad had already played with the skeins of fate as he awakened Ynnead. It was not supposed to happen and so the resurrection of Guilliman, in which the Ynnari were involved, couldn't be foreseen. As I see it, the future is not predestined but for 99 paths taken only 1 may give you a different outcome. And that's still very optimistic outlook. Eldrad may be the best in this but still far from faultless.

Imagine if the person Sanguinius is talking about is actually the Silent King.

I dont think 40k will have an "Endtimes" but it do think this franchise needs more moments that change the universe forever, like the return of the Blueberry and the Primaris or the Silent King coming back. Stuff that finally feels like the story takes the next step instead of just standing still as if Nurgel writes it, considering how stagnant it was at times.

I think the prospect of Nids vs. Chaos is interesting. Because on one hand we have Hive Fleet Kronos tailored to fight Chaos. On the other hand you have the fact that Chaos and its demonic hosts are effectively infinite, while the Tyranids are many they need to consume biomass of their enemies to sustain their fleets. And they can't eat demons.

So I have been thinking. The warp most only exist in our galaxy. Why? Well if they Tyranids were going around devouring galaxies wouldnt Chaos consider them the highest priority enemy? The Emperor could never stop feelings and hatred but the Tyranids can. Also if the warp extended throughout the entire universe wouldnt there be more Chaos gods? We should see more gods from other races.

As a new player to 40k the Blood Angels was the faction I chose, and honestly the more I look into their story the more I fall in love with the chapter. There's honestly no other playable faction that I would enjoy more, keep up the good work Wolf Lord Rho! For Emperor, for Primarch!

I am yet to get to any of the main Sanguinius parts in the HH series, but boy am I excited!

One thing thats important to remember here is that Sanguinius believed the future was not set in stone. He may not have seen his brother in the visions perhaps because he'd seen him fall to Fulgrim already. As for Chaos and the Tyranids both closing in on Terra, it was not long ago that the Custodes discovered the existence of a possible genestealer cult within the Palace already. I could see it totally happening. The pieces are there. I love your videos, Rho, please keep up the phenomenal work. You never cease to impress me with your readings and insight.

I always thought that it made a lot more sense if in the end it was the tyranid VS the orks, it strikes me much as a "unstoppable force VS immovable object" type of thing than chaos VS tyranids

TBH getting Tyranids near Terra and stopping them there for a longer time might be desired outcome. Shadow in the warp nullifying warp entities, having time for emperor resurrection or closing down beacon. It would take giant effort to stall Tyranids without slaughtering whole fleet. You want to buy time to fix things with Emporor.

My thoughts. First let's think about chaos. They make a lot of use of sorcery, psychic powers. Demons, Warpcraft and the like. Second let's think about the tyranids. They are a form of anathema to all psychic powers. Yet they are attracted to it. It's how they identify sources of food. I think it would be inevitable that the two would be attracted to each other like magnets. Chaos is essentially a giant warp Beacon of psychic energy everywhere it goes. The tyranids will be attracted to it though it has a slower mode of travel through the void. It will eventually home in and go straight at any large psychic sources of energy. That's like a giant Dinner Bell. They just need large enough numbers so the hivemind thinks it can conquer them.

Well, we've seen the Star Child theories before and we have the Living Saints. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened with Sanguinius cuz all the little hints hes not totally gone. What if like the Star Child he's literally growing in the warp into something like a greater demon of the God Emperor (who I think still might be a warp entity not actually connected to the human emperor. The Imperium is pretty devout and several thousand years of worship from a million worlds has to have some effect on the warp. It might even be similar to the creation of the Eldar Gods since humanity is only recently coming into its psychic potential) Edit: TLDR; Maybe Sanguinius might become some sort of Warp Angel that can manifest anywhere Daemons can

How about Dante fighting to the death, finally falling to the rage in the critical moment. At this moment he is Sanguinius in mind, and the psychic energy on the warp who is the real sanguinius joins with Dantes body, enpowering the final stand to epic proportions. Dante/Sanguinius ultimately win, and through the power of sanguinius's psychic energy enables him to recover, but no longer as Dante as we know him, that man has died, but as Sanguinius himself... or some combination of the two. The Angel returns.

In Aaron Dembski Bowden's Black Legion series, the main character Khayon describes the emperors light aka Astronomicon as fading in power. Also in the Carrion Throne by Chris Wraight, which is before the return of Guilliman, it is revealed that the golden throne itself is failing and the knowledge to repair it is lost. So I wonder what is really going on with the emperor, is he getting stronger or dying?

If Warhammer 40k has endtimes, it should be ended with eldar, men and tau surviving in few numbers, but at the end living together.

The fact that sanguinius knows of his fate is beyond courageous. Even knowing that his visions can be wrong, or changed, he still believes that he must fight and die to Horus to save his father and the imperium. That is a noble sacrifice.

If we take it as a literal meaning then we have 4 options (that i can think of so far) for the golden armored figure during the final stand at the throne. 1. Dante: possible but highly unlikely, due to the description of how everyone in the final stand paled in comparison to goldy boy. (Though hes great and all, he is in my eyes inferior to custodes) 2. Gulliman wearing emperors armor: better possibility, though still unlikely (i dont buy into that the emperors armor was melted down to go into every crux termanitus, do we have any lore showing shielding on terminator armor before the emperors enthronement?) 3. Rogal Dorn: (does dorn wear gold armor? I remember any artwork ive seen of him always in gold armor) Would make some sense since this is a final stand on a defensive fortification location, that and hes in my mind more famous than even the custodes. 4. Constantine Valdor (edit: just remembered his name): only other i can think of, im as sure about this one as i am of dorns. Bonus possibility with 0% chance: Kaldor Dreigo from emperor text to speech series that got hold of some yellow paint, painted himself with it and is pretending to be a pirate that looks like a star fruit.

"Future" is very relative. Sanguinius' visions aren't clear when it comes to the time frame (and alternate outcomes). After all, the Emperor has been sitting on the Golden Throne for ten millennia. He may have slowly regenerated his power by being fed the souls of psychers and then continued to grow in power until current 40k times.

Call me a Blackand if you like, but I prefer the 40k End Times of WH60k. The God-Emperor finally ascends...and becomes a Chaos God rather than a pure Warp entity: The Star Father. I prefer 40k to keep slipping into deeper and deeper darkness. Not because I'm sadistic, but just because I think it tells a more edifying tale that way. 40k, if it ever ends, should end as it began: Grimdark, nearly hopeless, tormented and agonized, but with a microscopic sliver of hope, however mad or frantic that desperate hope may be. I think that suits humanity best. That our species hovers eternally on the brink.

W40k End Times with the emperor returning... would break my heart as well, the lore of this grim dark/sci-fi universe is fucking awesome as it is. Nevertheless, you already know that GW is craving for your money and eventually they will be doing what they consider the best to that purpose. Although we do not want it, GW will release WH40k end time at some point, be sure of it. I love this channel, and the passion you put in it and in the stories of this amazing universe.

Im starting to think Guilliman is completely an enigma. He was SUPPOSED to be dead or incapacitated. He wasn’t supposed to be there. Yet he is. So now it’s likely a 3 way toss-up instead of a 2-way.

A few thoughts on the Tyranid/Chaos vision. I don't think it has anything to do with current events at all, rather it's an overall painting of what's to come: the tyranids will eventualy eat the Galaxy, but not before the Chaos Gods realise they themselves will die if they let it happen. So, they let rip against the tyranids even more than they are now, while everyone else gets squeezed, corrupted or eaten in between. Not a vision of what's happening now, but a vision of more nightmares to come.

A theory of mine is that the Tyranids were the final "project" of the Old Ones as the force that is meant to destroy Chaos

I think the Final stand in the Throne room is what would have happened if Baal had fallen. but like its stated, he did not foresee Gulliman in this future, so for better or worse thanks to the Eldar we are on a different path now than that of Sanguinius' Vision.

10:10 One of the prevailing theories about an afterlife for humanity is that loyal human souls that enter the warp go to join the Army of Light. So with such a loss of human life, in this vision, I can only imagine that if that’s the case then ironically the human would get a massive boost to his power in the warp and could then take an equally massive vengeance against the tyranids and chaos!

Sanguinius was isolated from the throne world as well during the Horus Heresy, but he still managed to make it back for the final confrontation. There’s no reason to assume that Dante won’t do the same.
