When my dog was over run with cancer ( after 2 surgeries), I took her to her favorite river spot one last time to play fetch before taking her to be put down. She swam her heart out collasped on shore. She died in my arms, doing what she loved at her favorite place in the world. This reminded me of her... sorry to be downer but thought id share... miss her and couldn't have asked for a better blessing

7 years ago my wife died of cancer left me with three dogs two were mine and one was her baby I am sitting here on the couch with her right now she has cancer she's terminal and not much more time I've loved her all I could since my wife passed away and I hope she has a good Voyage Over the Rainbow Bridge I can't cry anymore

Thanks to all the people that understand that a dog is part of the family. My wife have been married 43 years and have had rescue dogs the whole time. Having to put them down when it’s their time to cross over is one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. Omg!! God bless you. When I saw the look on your dog’s face my heart sank!! God love you that you were so fast and strong enough to grab your baby. Any size pup when they are soaking wet is so heavy!! My Maltese pup fell in our pool and it took everything I had to get him out of the water!! It was very early one morning and my husband was in the shower, thank God my neighbor heard my horror in my voice and came running!! Between the both of us we saved him!! God love your baby, I’ll never forget that look on your pup’s face ❤️‍🩹, I hope the pup is doing well ❤️!!

Yeah I think the dog was struggling before all that , because as he was coming back the dog wasn't going anywhere look at it ,so it's legs were having problems first got control, then you see the dog then start with the breathing problems as to say help ,then it went out ,yes wow! ,these animals become a part of our life no matter who ,bad guys ,good people , or dog lovers it hits you very hard to see your pet experience a traumatic issue , think about what you would do if you saw a friend, family, or person great job fellas 👍

My dog was running with me this am. She is 5 yrs and has a tick illness and Connor stand up now 2 hrs later. She is my sweet baby. The frontline tick hasn’t worked at all. Not one bit 3 doses 1 every 3 weeks instead of 4 and she now is completely unable to stand. Good job saving the dog. They looked like my last lab Buster. He was awesome and so kind. Loved to 14 and never 1 had a tick illness.

Saying it’s her first time in the water and she doesn’t really know what she’s doing- yet keeps throwing the stick over and over and too far. She started swallowing water because of the stick in her mouth keeping her mouth open whilst she had not yet learned how to do this game. Bad owner. He’s not a hero for doing what he SHOULD do especially since HE put her in that position. I knew she was struggling well before he finally went in. Took him long enough. Poor dogs. And he won’t change- especially because he got a bunch of attention, compliments, likes and views for almost taking his dog’s life. Brilliant. Ppl in the comments praising him whilst utterly failing to see the truth of the situation is sad and worrisome considering many likely have dogs themselves and evidently are ignorant to the issues here.

My girl, a golden retriever, had been in good health, collapsed in front of me and died moments later. I tried cpr but nothing helped. She just left us! I am so happy this man was able to save his dog. Having my girl suddenly die was such a helpless feeling! The only good thing is it wasn't a long slow decline, ending up with "help" to get over the bridge. It was over in less than 1 minute. Vet guessed a tumor that ruptured and bled out. I hope you have ALL the tennis balls and Milkbones in Heaven, Daisy-girl and that you are with Grandma Phyllis and our pets that went before you- Disney, Indiana, Biscuit and Lovie!!

My mom passed away from cancer in 2010. I inherited her schnauzer she was only 1 years old. She passed at 15.5 years she collapsed and fell in the swimming pool and when I pulled her out. I feel to realize that she had swallowed water while she was unconscious. The water went into her lungs, which caused inflammation, and ultimately led to pneumonia, which took her life. She was hospitalized but we were with her in her final moments. She’s happy with my mom in heaven.

We took our golden camping. We camped beside a river where she spent a week doing her favorite thing. Playing in the water. She couldn't get enough of it. Two days after we came home, she laid in our orchard and peacefully died. We were so glad we had those days playing. Still miss her. I'm glad yours had a happy ending.

My dog is old and has a heart disease, I can't remember how many time's he has passed out and I have revived him. I take him everywhere with him cause I'm afriad to leave him alone. So glad the owner acted quite and rescued him fur baby. ❤❤

We had to put down our “son” 3 days before Christmas in 2022. A month before we drove from our home in N.Texas to Red River NM so Mosaic “Mo” could have one last hooray! And boy did he.
