These are so trippy to me. When I was a kid, Japanese stuff wasn’t as popular esp because anime was still seen as nerdy or weird. So I’d buy Sanrio stuff for myself only whenever I’d visit my family in Japan. Now, after decades, it’s become popular and people actually like the stuff I liked! I’m glad but at the same time jealous that people can talk about it without being judged
