In all honesty, this works better for me than what actually happened in the series. Sans returning always sorta just there to play with emotions, and honestly, I still kinda feel like you could have a majority of the story be the same without bringing Sans back. Here? Honestly, it feels there is actual reason for him to come back; he takes down the main antagonist of the story, who previously took him out. While I am not going to act like what we got in the series wasn't good, there is just something about this I prefer more than the original.

I'm late commenting but I love how you didn't really stick to how the original went in this, you just kinda decided "Fuck it, go ALL out." It turned out absolutely stunning This is my favorite thing you've ever made, great work Tris!

I like how Sans imitates Papyrus's Blastermination... Instead of 3 Gaster Blasters firing in the original scene, it's bunch of of them firing Determination beam... DAYUM!

If that attack from Sans left only Betty's bones and then she received more attacks, I don't understand how Hate could survive. It would be more coherent if Hate had been destroyed along with Betty, because unlike Gaster, Sans wouldn't leave any trace of Betty behind. Although taking into account that Asriel is still around (infected with Hate), the final result might not change?

I remember not liking the original very much, but when I saw that it had been reanimated, I hoped it might be a lot better. This version is gorgeously animated, and a massive improvement in the way it conveys power. That said, it doesn't fix my biggest problems with it. I can't say that I like this animation. It's not a fight scene, betty doesn't even try to defend herself, she just stands still and dies to Sans' one attack. And If I'm remembering correctly, doesn't Sans Get the same, "stands still and dies in one hit treatment" to Hate right after this? That doesn't do either character justice. It's massively underwhelming. Even in the original, when Betty got overpowered by Gaster, they actually did have a fight scene, an exchange of moves. It was satisfying for most to see a genuine threat like Betty get defeated in a proper fight scene where her own power was not presented as weak. While I may overall strongly dislike this animation, I still care about it in a way, which is why I wrote all this. I hope you're not offended by my words; this is just my honest opinion.
