Watching this today and realizing there are so many people in this video no longer with us. Roscoe Born, Terry Lester, John Callahan, Henry Darrow and John Conboy have all passed away. Rest In Peace.

Santa Barbara was in the ratings basement, despite winning countless Emmys year after year. It's so unfair.

unfortunately, but in Europe, especially in German-speaking countries, Santa Barbara (California Clan in Germany) was a huge hit. At its best, the series had up to 40% market share in the target group, meaning almost every second person watched Santa Barbara at this time !❤ i love this soap, it was my childhood 😊

"Santa Barbara" Senior Exec Producer John Conboy came off as annoyingly pompous during the Best Drama Series acceptance speech. Every year SB won Best Drama Series someone different accepted the award. For such a great show in its heyday it had so much backstage turmoil. Jill Farren Phelps at the epicenter of it all, of course.
